One day, SM Entertainment decided to have a reunion concert for the founding members of NCT, some of the very first members to debut in NCT. Some of them were hard to find, but they eventually found all of them. Most of them are now in their mid to late 30's, and it's so weird to think about how much time has passed. SM Entertainment also though that it would be fun for the children of NCT to come together to perform a special tribute song. Just one song: RESONANCE from NCT 2020. That song has not been performed for a very long time, and the 23 kids of the NCT members are about to learn it and then perform it for their dads. This sounds like a lot of fun.

SM Entertainment gathered all the children of the 23 original members of NCT at SM Square in Los Angeles, California, with their children. This is something I've been anticipating to happen. There is probably twice or even thrice the number of kids than there is of NCT members, but SM Entertainment was careful to pick out the sons of the members. The daughters are reserved for another special performance that will be revealed later. . .

Of the members who had sons, they are these members:
•Jaemin - 1 son
•Xiaojun - 1 son
•Taeyong - 2 sons
•Johnny - 1 son
•Yuta - 3 sons
•Sungchan - 2 sons
•Jeno - 1 son
•Mark - 2 sons
•Jaehyun - 1 son
•Renjun - 2 sons
•Jisung - 1 son
This is almost enough to make up half the members that SM Entertainment needs to create NCT 2.0 is what they've decided to call it. Taeyong's sons are actually twins, which came as a shock to almost everyone. They weren't expecting that at all. So far, there are 17 boys. They need at least 1
6 more boys. If not, then it would be cool if some of the daughters join in. That would add a different dynamic that has never been seen for NCT.

With that decided, instead of looking for random guys to join join, they decided to add 6 girls to join. Of the members who have daughters, they are the following members:
•Jaemin - 1 daughter
•YangYang - 1 daughter
•Lucas - 2 daughters
•Ten - 2 daughters
•Kun - 1 daughter
•Jaehyun - 1 daughter
•Jungwoo - 3 daughters
•Haechan - 1 daughter
•Shotaro - 2 daughters

SM Entertainment each chose all 17 sons to be in the lineup and chose 6 girls to also be in the lineup. The 6 girls chosen is: Harper Na, Svenja Liu(YangYang's daughter), Isabel Wong(Lucas' daughter), Violet Leechaiyapornkul(Ten's daughter), Jocelynn Jung(Jaehyun's daughter), Ayaka Osaki(Shotaro's daughter). In total, that now makes up 23 children from the members of NCT. For the members who were not mentioned, they either did not have kids, or would not like their children participating.

With all the kids chosen, the SM vocal coaches and dance coaches began training all of them in a single practice room. With most of them with zero to no experience in either field, it was hard for some of them to get an idea of how to do these things. They are all well aware of legacy in the industry and the last thing they would want to do is to let them down. So, with that determination in mind, they all practiced the best to their ability. The trainers understand that most of the kids have no experience, so they are extra patient with them.

*One Week Later*
After one week of hard, 12-hour training, all the kids are ready to do their performance of RESONANCE. Each of them have been assigned to a segment of the song, depending on who their dad was and what his position was. For example, Mark's son, Tristan, would do the intro: Ayo, listen up! No matter what they say, no matter what they do. We gon' resonate, resonate. When the concert opened with Tristan doing his best impression of Mark's line, I saw Mark cringing a little bit, but was still proud of him.

Then, it moved into Taeyong's son: Jinho, Jaehyun's daughter and son: Jocelynn and Daniel, and Lucas's daughter: Isabel. All the members were blown away by how good their kids are doing, despite only having one week of practice. Next, it transitioned to our son: Luke and Shotaro's daughter: Ayaka Osaki. Yuta's son: Takashi Nakamoto covered Doyoung's part. One of the coolest moments happened when they all joined in for the Raise The Roof part. That was honestly so epic.

Then, verse two with the 90's Love unit; Junghwa Jung(Sungchan's son), Svenja Liu, Jiwoo Lee(Jeno's son), Tristan Lee, and Josh Suh(Johnny's son) covered WinWin's part. The pre-chorus continued with 90's Love. After the pre-chorus, comes the chorus again with Raise The Roof. Following the pre-chorus is the post-chorus, and then the bridge which is the Work It unit, sang by; Minju Kim(Jungwoo's daughter), Violet, and Takami Nakamoto(Yuta's second son). The second half of the Work It unit sings the pre-chorus of the same song.

Now, this song has a lot of parts, so let's skip to the ending encore shall we? When all 23 kids finished performing, they take each other's hands, and take one gigantic bow. Once forward and once backward. The crowd, which is just the NCT former members and the wives/mothers give a big round of applause to our kids. We are so incredibly proud of them. They did such a great job with the one week they were given to train for this song. It is a very hard song to master because it has so many parts, but everyone did an incredible job. That performance was just amazing and mind blowing.

Well, now this story is coming to a close. For all the members not yet mentioned, they have all found their love of their lives, one by one. Each of them are living out happy married lives, some with kids, in all corners of the globe. The kids will forever remember that one moment when they were all together on that stage together, performing a song dedicated to their legendary fathers.
