Chapter 9- Past and Future

"Javier Fernandez. You. Are. The. WORST."

"I swear to God, it was never my intention! I swear!" Javier shook his head aggressively, defending himself as June hit him on the head with a skate guard.

"N-No, no! Accident! Was accident!" Yuzuru flailed his arms, trying to hold June back. "Javi...accident!"

"AND YOU." June glared harshly at Yuzuru, crossing her arms as she diverted her attention away from Javier. "DO I NEED TO TEACH YOU TO SAY 'NO' IN ENGLISH AGAIN?" June whacked him on the butt with the skate guard, causing him to flinch.

"E-eh??" Yuzuru hid behind Javi, using him as a shield. "B-but..." He stuttered in English as they both cowered in fear, facing a fuming June.

"Give them a break, June," Brian sighed as he strolled towards them, patting June's back. "I've already lectured them. They've learnt their lesson."

Javier and Yuzuru quickly nodded in agreement as they looked at June pitifully.

"June...angry...scary," Yuzuru whispered to Javier.

"You haven't even seen the worst yet. That's why we try to keep her happy."

"E-eh??"

"You remember that time on your first day-"

"I can hear you two, you know?" June glared at them sharply. Yuzuru and Javier zipped instantly, staring away nervously.

June sighed, her shoulders relaxing. "Man..."

Yuzuru looked up at her puzzledly. "June...?"

"Stop behaving so recklessly...do you know how scared-" June stopped and bit her lip, looking away.

"Do you know-" She paused again and shook her head, sitting on the bench.

"Nevermind."

"June?" Javier sat beside her, looking at her with a concerned expression. Yuzuru sat on her other side and patted her back hesitantly.

June buried her face in her hands and sighed loudly.

"Do you know how scared I was?" June muttered, looking at Yuzuru.

"Eh?"

"She freaked out so bad when she received Coach's call. Man, if you didn't wake up-"

"NAM." June shouted, her face flushing a deep shade of red. "SHUT UP."

"But you were really-" Nam protested.

"Eh? You were worried for me?" Yuzuru asked innocently, giving June a surprised look.

"I mean- Come on. You're my friend." June said defensively, as their teammates looked at them curiously.

"Guys, English? We don't understand Jap, you know."

"Nothing."

"Hey, come on! Don't leave us out of the loop!" Javier persuaded, swinging his arms around Yuzuru and June.

"Loop?" Yuzuru blinked confusedly, doing a twirling sign with his finger.

"Can we just not do this conversation now?" June sighed exasperatedly. "I'm gonna go back to work."

"Work?" Javier asked curiously. "Where? Since when did you get a job?"

"Junny's working here now! At the Cricket!" Nam grinned, skipping off the rink towards the others.

"Eh??" Yuzuru exclaimed, turning to June with a shocked look. "But aren't you a student here? Wouldn't that reduce your training time?"

"Guys, can we speak English over here-"
