"It's okay, I'll stay here with her. You should go back to rest."

"No, it's alright. I'm not tired." I wrapped my hand around June's, holding it tightly as I gazed sadly at her still face.

I'm sorry I couldn't hold you back in time...My fingers slipped in between hers as Javi laid a hand on my back, patting me softly.

"Yuzu, you've been here since last night. Go back and rest."

I shook my head without a word, my gaze fixed on her. Please open your eyes, June...I pleaded silently as a lump welled up in my throat, my tears threatening to spill again.

Just as I moved my hand away, I felt her fingers tightening around mine. Eh? I gave Coach a stunned look, opening my mouth but the words didn't come out.

"Hm?"

"C-Coach, June's-!" I jerked my hand away slightly and felt the tight grip again. My head turned back at June, noticing her eyes opening slightly, but closing back almost immediately. I gaped at her, unable to utter a single word. Javi gasped, rapidly muttering a string of Spanish words.

"Ugh..."

"June!" Coach rushed forward, grabbing her firmly. "June, can you hear me?"

"Where...where am I?"

"You're in the hospital, June. You were in an accident. You've been unconscious for 2 days."

"...What?" June croaked tiredly, her eyes barely open. "You...you guys..." She squinted at us for a while, as if trying to register something.

"S-Stalker-"

"Don't worry, he's been arrested. The police will handle it." Coach reassured her quickly, patting her shoulder gently. "Can you see us?"

She tried to nod, but her neck was stiff from injury. "Mm..."

"Uh..." Coach paused hesitantly, pointing at himself. "Do you know who I am?"

She grunted softly, her throat in pain. Javi quickly pressed the call button for the doctor, who rushed in with the nurses within moments.

"Yes-" the doctor sighed in relief, beaming at June. "Thank God! Alright, I'll do a quick check for her now. You guys stay outside first, okay?"

We stepped outside as we waited for the doctor to check June, but Coach seemed rather unsettled, pacing around the ward.

"Coach?"

"Hm?" He turned his head towards me blankly. "Yes, Yuzu?"

"You...okay?" I asked in concern.

"Yeah. Just...worried."

"You afraid it's like 2011 all over again?" Javi mumbled. Coach frowned and nodded, sighing.

"She just picked herself up again. I don't want our efforts to go to waste once more..."

"I'm sure she'll be okay, Coach."

"I hope so."
