"You guys are getting on faster than I imagined, Yuzu."

"It was an ACCIDENT." I corrected Javi flusteredly, burying my head into my bag. "I can't even talk to her now..."

Javi chuckled and stretched his arms, getting up. "Just pretend like nothing happened, then."

"Eh? But...how?"

"God, you're such a herbivore." Javi shook his head and crossed his arms. "It's just a kiss."

"That's easy for Javi to say..." I sighed and plopped my head back onto my bag as I hugged it tightly while it rested on my lap. "Cuz Javi's a Casanova."

"Hey! I'm a faithful lover."

"Whatever..." I sighed loudly and put my bag down, getting up. "I hardly had the chance to speak to her lately, anyway. Our training schedules are different..."

"And she's constantly hanging out with that blonde Augustus boy. You okay with that?"

"I-I can't do anything about that! They're classmates..."

"Then don't look so shaken whenever you see Junny with him. I got so worried when I saw your face that time..."

"...Sorry, Javi..." I mumbled. "I couldn't control myself." And then I did the unthinkable...

"What's going on? Why the glum face, Yuzu?"

"Hi May. Don't worry, it's just..." Javi glanced at me and turned back to May with a cheesy smile plastered across his face. "Competition blues."

Yeah, competition.

"I'm sure you'll do great! You won Skate Canada just a few days ago, didn't you?"

I shook my head and smiled politely at her. "Second place."

"Well, that's still a medal..." She shrugged. "June was like, 4th? Bummer."

"I think she skated really well, though!" I replied defensively. "Her short was a lot better than before...just that her free was..."

"A bit off, huh." Javi commented, leaning against the rink boards. "Missed the podium by two points again."

"But her free at Finlandia was-"

"Yeah, we get it....You're really protective over her, aren't you?" mumbled May, looking away. "Have fun practicing, you two."

Javi raised his eyebrows and looked at me, grinning. "Look what you've done."

"W-What??"

He chuckled and patted my back as we went into the rink. "You heartless man."

"GRAMPSSSSS!" I screamed and flailed my arms, running straight for Gramps as he stood there with his walking stick. "GRAMPSSSS-"

"No need to shout, child." He chuckled calmly as I fawned over him, completely ignoring everyone else around us. "You haven't grown much, have you?"
