That Matsujun...what's her deal? Why's Coach paying so much attention to her...she isn't even a student...right? I mumbled to myself, shrugging it off.
Focus...focu-
I turned around startledly as something jerked me back.
Matsujun.
"Do you have a problem?" She shot at me sharply.
"A-ah?" I blinked confusedly.
"Don't 'ah' me! I frickin' heard you, you little-" she shouted, edging forward.
"Hey, hey! What's going on?" Coach held her back, looking at us with a warning gaze.
"Your new student seems to have a problem with me," she glared at me coldly. Did she get offended...? By...?
"Whatever the problem is, settle it off the rink. We're moving on with our practice." Coach looked at us sternly, pointing towards the other students. I nodded and joined the rest, scratching my head. Matsujun quickly skated past me, scoffing at me as she scooted by.
What the hell?

"Hey, Yuzu!" Javier tapped on my shoulder as I took off my boots. "You guys...did something happen?" He pointed at the girl and gave me a concerned look.
"I...I don't know..." I answered puzzledly.
"Maybe it's a misunderstanding." Javier walked away before I could ask him to repeat himself.
This whole thing is a mess...

<June's POV>
"Chica!" Javier popped over, squeezing my shoulders. "Cooled down yet?"
I rolled my eyes, glaring at him. "He may be a good skater, but he's an ass."
"Japanese boy made you mad?"
"If he's got an issue with me, say it straight to my face." I glared in Yuzuru's direction as he tried to avoid eye contact.
"Want me to call him over?"
"Do whatever you want. Let's see if he has the gall to come over." I scoffed as I kept my boots away in my bag, zipping it up.
"Hey, Yuzu! Come over for a while," Javier called over loudly, gesturing him to come to us.
"Are you serious?" I gaped at Javier as Yuzuru hesitantly walked over.
"Yes..?" Yuzuru asked quietly, fiddling with his boots.
"You two need to talk. She's pissed with you because she said you were an ass to her," Javier answered casually.
"Hah?" He cocked his head puzzledly, staring at us helplessly.
"Uh...do you understand what I just said?" Javier said slowly.
Yuzuru shook his head slowly and looked at us apologetically.
I frowned and crossed my arms. "You know..."
Yuzuru immediately perked up as he heard me speak my accented Japanese.
"What's your problem with me?" I questioned.
"Eh?" He blinked at me, confused. "What problem?"
"I heard you. That Matsujun, what's her deal? I heard you," I glared at him, but less harshly as before.
Yuzuru scratched his head and laughed sheepishly. "I didn't mean anything harmful by that...was that offensive to you?"
"Well...yeah. I guess." I looked away as Javier raised his eyebrow at me curiously.
"I'm sorry," Yuzuru apologised. "It was really rude of me. I didn't mean for you to...I..." He bit his lip, looking extremely remorseful.
"Just...just don't call me Matsujun." I looked away, feeling slightly embarrassed.
"Matsujun?" Javier asked.
I glared at Javier. "It's JUNE."
"J-june..." Yuzuru nodded as Javier chuckled.
"So, we're all cool?" Javier looked over at us, patting our backs.
"Cool...?" Yuzuru blinked and rubbed his arms, looking at us innocently.
"...Yeah."
--- ---
"Your Japanese isn't that bad, isn't it?" Javier asked. "You could speak to Yuzu."
"Barely. And my accent is weird..."
"It is?" Javier blinked curiously. "I thought it sounded okay..."
"I probably wouldn't survive in Japan."
"But you're Japanese!" Javier exclaimed.
"Hun, born and bred in Canada, yours truly." I pointed at myself and sighed. I turned around and spotted Yuzuru tagging behind by a few feet hesitantly.
"Yuzu!" Javier waved and gestured for him to join us. "Where are you heading?"
"Uh..." Yuzuru shifted around awkwardly.
"Where...are you going?" I did a walking sign with my fingers, speaking slowly.
"Ah! Oh...I'm going...home," he answered, smiling brightly at us.
"Where do you stay?" Javier asked, carrying on the conversation as he spoke as slowly and clearly as he could. I chuckled softly, watching them try their best to communicate.
"June?" I heard a voice call me and turned around. The smile on Javier's face disappeared.
"Adam?" I frowned.
"June, can I speak to you for a while? Just a few minutes." Adam took a few quick steps towards us, looking at Javier and Yuzuru. "Uh...alone."
"Just spit it out here, Rippon." Javier said coldly, glaring at him. He rolled his eyes, looking at me expectantly.
Adam glared back at Javier, about to shoot him off. "I said-"
I pursed my lips, shutting my eyes for a second. "Adam, don't." I placed my hand on his shoulder, cutting him off.
"Two minutes." I looked at Javier, shaking my head. Please.
Javier let out an annoyed sigh. "Let's go, Yuzu." He pulled Yuzuru's arm and walked away from us.
I spun around and crossed my arms, looking at Adam tiredly. "What is it?"
"I..." Adam sighed, pausing.
"Hm?"
He held my hand softly, pulling me towards him. "I'm leaving Toronto."
