HEY BETCHES

Actually I'm still having exams at the moment but I was really in the mood to write so...yeah :>

I see the fandom's expanded (some of you new ones probably from YOI?) and things are picking up too, with the season peaking and all hehehehe :3 I REALLY LIKE YUZURU'S NEW PROGRAMS but i feel like I'm going to be really emotionally invested in this season OTL

I won't be able to update regularly but I'll try not to disappear for 6 months again hahaha. I'm moving house at the moment so I'll be busy packing my stuff right after exams, but I'll still keep to my promise to finish this series someday! Thanks for all your support, we've just hit 10k reads recently X) Really happy that you guys still stick around. Alright enough babbling and I'll catch up with you guys in the comments section!

"I'm sorry, but it would be the best decision for you to withdraw."

"...Thank you very much."

The doctor looked at me with sympathy, letting out a quiet sigh. "You know your body best, Yuzuru. It's better to give yourself a break."

"I understand."

"Good that you do. I'll speak to your coach about your condition later, alright?"

"Thank you." I forced a smile and left his office with a bow, before crumpling down on the sofa.

This really sucks. I cringed as a sharp pain stung my back again, leaving a slight soreness as it disappeared again.

The JSF had lined me up with events after events during the entire off-season. I wasn't against it since it was normal for the post-Olympic hype, but Coach was pretty upset.

Considering that I'm continuing this season, I guess Coach's unhappiness is normal...and now this injury...

I sighed again, bracing myself for Coach's wrath.

Coach arrived shortly at the hospital, joining me. "So, what was the diagnosis?"

"Um...back injury." I mumbled, staring at my feet. The door opened as I answered, the doctor signalling for Coach to go in.

"Are you coming in?" Coach turned back and asked me.

"Um...Yes." Better now than later, eh... I trudged back into the doctor's office with Coach, feeling like crap.

Definitely didn't imagine post-Olympics to be this way...

"Mr. Orser! I'm glad you could make it down today. There's a lot to discuss about Yuzuru's plans for this season."

"So...bad news, huh?" Coach let out a sigh, pursing his lips.

"Well...there's both good and bad news," the doctor smiled as he tried to cushion the blow. "Bad news, his back's strained so he won't make it for the next competition. Good news, it's not that bad, so Yuzuru could probably make it for the Grand Prix if he gives his back enough rest and comes for physio regularly."

Coach turned to me with an expectant look. "You heard him, Yuzu."

"Yes, Coach."

"Thanks, Doc. I'll make sure he gets enough rest, and we can talk about his physio progress over email."

"Right," Doc replied as he flipped through the documents, frowning slightly as he paused on a page. "Yuzuru, have you had pain anywhere else other than your back recently?"
