'SUP GUYS IT'S BEEN A MONTH
It's exam period I don't know what I'm doing anymore ;_; I should be studying but I just wrote pretty much the whole chapter in one night OTL I guess it's a form of stress relief. IT'S WTT AND I WATCHED THE ENTIRE THING. IT WAS AMAZING.
I'm currently quite sleep-deprived and I am not sure what to say anymore, so pls read and I hope you enjoy <3

"They said it was probably just stress."
"Really?" I asked, rather unconvinced. "Are you sure you're fine?"
"I'm serious...don't worry. Sorry I missed the gala."
I sighed through the speaker, shaking my head. "There's nothing to apologise for, as long as you're safe."
"I keep ending up on the news for the wrong reasons, though. Canada probably thinks I'm cursed by now," June laughed as she sighed again.
"Come on, you still got the gold. Just focus on resting, alright?"
"Mmhmm..." She mumbled, pausing for a while. "You sure you don't want to sleep yet? It's like...midnight in Japan, right?"
"No, it's...it's not my bedtime yet," I lied, staring at my clock as it struck 1am.
"Don't lie. It's 1am there, isn't it?? I know how timezones work, dummy." June clicked her tongue, sounding a little cross.
"But...I miss you." I whined with my sappiest voice, pleading for another few more minutes.
"I...I-"
"June? Please...just five more minutes..."
There was a short silence before I heard a few muffled noises from June's side.
"June?"
"Aww~ Just five~ more minutes~" Javi's nasal voice crackled through the speaker teasingly, followed by a loud shout from June.
"GODDAMNIT JAVI, JUST GO BACK HOME CAN'T YOU-"
"I MISS YOU, JUNE~" Gus' squeaky voice came next, followed by another horrific scream from June.
"GET OUT, YOU TWO. GET THE HELL OUT OF MY ROOM." June's agonized grunting came clearly through the line, and I couldn't help but chuckle despite the disruption.
"Seems lively over there, heh."
"Ugh."
"What's Javi and Augustus doing in your room?"
"Gus and I were working on a project this morning and Javi said he was bringing lunch and Coach's notes over...They came back from a coffee break and hijacked my phone. Great friends, huh..."
"Well...I'm glad you have company with you. But I wish I could be there too," I sighed, curling up on my bed. "I'll come back once Nationals is over, yeah?"
"Mhm. Go sleep soon, alright?"
"Okay..." I muttered reluctantly. "Goodnight, June."
"G'night. Sleep tight."
I put my phone on my bedside as the line clicked, sighing softly. I spent the rest of the night tossing and turning, unable to sleep well.
What's wrong with me...
I bit my lip, feeling the ache in my body. It hurts...
