I tried to light a fire in the forest of your World, fanned flames swirling higher like a flag that is unfurled
I tried to be a beacon on the coastline of your mind, guiding you to safety from a storm that is unkind
Fuel an oil lamp, kerosene, strike a match and cast a gleam, against the window, strikes the pane, the moth is drawn toward the flame.
Light a candle, stoke the coals, laser beams and floodlit goals
Sunlight catchers, shards of light, neon signs blaze through the night.
Chinese lanterns, Diwali, ultraviolet burning me.I tried illuminating the darkness in your heart, a lamp above a picture illuminating art.
I tried to be a lighthouse brightening the blackened sea, instead of drowning in the waves, you set fire to me.
