Always on the sideline from my early memories
Watching as the World goes by while down upon my knees
Waiting to be noticed, neither seen nor heard
Hoping that someone would actually keep to their word
Always on the sideline never picked out for the team
Watching as the World goes by stifling my scream
Waiting for my moment which never seems to come
Hoping for a life that would not be too troublesome
Always on the sideline never got to number one
Watching as the World goes by all out there having fun
Waiting for the moment that I'd get to shine
Hoping that someone would be willing to be mine
Always on the sideline not sure where I should be
Watching as the World goes by scurrying past me
Waiting for the moment that I'd feel so much more
Hoping that someone would never see me as a chore
Always on the sideline even now I am an adult
Watching as the World goes by pointing out my faults
Waiting for the moment where I finally could peak
Hoping that someone would listen to me speak
Always on the sideline now I shall sit and wait
Watching as the World goes by until I meet my fate
Waiting til the time is right so this can finally end
Hoping that you realise all I needed was a friend
When the time has come and I'm no longer on this plane
Don't come crying at my grave it's too late to explain
Just try to understand the moral of this rhyme
I'd still be alive if you had valued all my time
When my time has come then you'll miss me the most
Don't pretend to care at that point for a restless ghost
Try to understand that I always tried my best
I could have been anything if I wasn't so depressed
