Dabi stretched and reached over to pull Ayla towards him. His hand was met with emptiness, Ayla was gone. He sat up and looked around the room. Nothing, just silence. He tried not to panic but quickly got up pulled on some sweats. He checked his bathroom, her room, the kitchen. He was starting worry and went to check the last few rooms.

"Please ... she wouldn't just disappear ... shit" he stopped and thought maybe she did. She appeared out of nowhere so maybe she disappeared like that. "No, there's no way life would be that cruel."

He called the guard that was suppose to watch her, "Where is she?"

"What do you mean you're not sure? You are suppose to be by her side at all times ... I don't care what she says, if she steps one foot out of this place you step too. Where does she run and if you want to live then you better have an answer .... meet me at the door NOW!"

Ayla enjoyed this early morning run, the crisp air, seeing people start going about their day. She wasn't big into cardio but she felt different here. She felt at peace and this morning she felt whole. She watched Dabi sleep, listened to his deep breaths. He made a small low growl with every other exhale. She didn't want to leave him but she had a new spark in her when she woke and wanted to see the sunrise as she ran.

She walked through the market like she had at the end of every run but this time she was getting fresh fruit, meats and eggs to make breakfast. She had gotten to know the people here and they loved seeing her every morning too. She had brought a new joy to them, maybe it was her quirk but anyone who came in contact with her felt a sense of calmness. She felt so safe here but as she started to leave she had a sense of dread. She froze and tried to look around but didn't see anything out of place. As she turned back around suddenly someone grabbed her arm and she screamed.

Before she had time to react someone had hit the person to the ground and jumped on top of them.

"How dare you touch her."

Ayla recognized the voice but also saw who he was hitting. "Stop it, get off of him. You're hurting him."

Dabi turned to her in shock "He attacked you and you want to protect him."

"He wasn't going to hurt me" she shoved Dabi off and tried to help the man up. "Are you ok Mr. Hisashi?"

"I apologize sir, I wasn't trying to scare Lady Ayla. I just wanted to bring her some fresh bread." He was bowing to Dabi.

Ayla glared at Dabi and he coughed, "No apologies needed."

"Is that all?" she whispered in Dabi's ear and gave him another stern look.

"I hope I didn't hurt you" Dabi growled between clenched teeth.

Ayla rolled her eyes, "thank you so much Mr. Hisashi" she quickly healed a cut he had on his lip, " I hope you're ok."

"I will be fine Lady Ayla, you are always so kind. Enjoy the rest of your day. My apologies again sir." He bowed at Dabi and then quickly took off.

Ayla turned to Dabi, "what was that..."

"COME! NOW!" His face was full of anger. He grabbed her arm and pulled her away before she could protest.

They walked in silence, she would try and look at him but he refused to look at her. Ayla did not have a good feeling about what was going to happen when they got back.

When they got closer she noticed her bodyguard looked disheveled and there was blood on his shirt. When they were inside she yelled at Dabi.

"What did you do to Tsuda?"
