"You guys can go without me. I have to finish up something." I said, as I closed the door. I finished making myself breakfast, and I printed my extra assignments off the computer. I finished the work, but hadn't printed. I put it in my folder, and walked to school. They were at the next street. I didn't feel like catching up, so I walked slowly. School was normal, like every other day. I passed in my extra assignments, which raised my a few of my grades up to D's instead of F's. Progress, at least. I went into the gym, there was tryouts, and I wanted to watch. I finished my homework, before the people came in.
"Found where you ran off to." Leo slid next to me.
"Wasn't a secret. You trying out?" I asked.
"I'm already on the football team, I'm recruiting people for football, though." He said.
"How many people are trying out for football?" I questioned.
"13, I'm pretty sure. What are you doing here, so early?" He asked.
"Homework." I answered. "When does this term end?"
"Next week." He answered, as he scanned the court.
"I'm failing." I said. "Three D's, Two F's, and One C."
"At least you have a C." He smiled.
"That's for the elective class." I groaned. I reached for my bottle of cranberry juice.
"You'll do better next term." He said. "No orange juice?"
"They ran out at lunch." I frowned.
"Lighten up, baby." He gave me a kiss.
"Are you hungry? I'm going to go get a taco." I said.
"Thank you. I'll pay you back later, I want a burrito." He said.
"Okay." I grabbed my books, and my bag. I dropped off my books and notebooks in my locker, and went across the street to buy six tacos and five burrito. I returned to the gym, and the bleachers were filled up. I spotted Leo, the boys, and the girls, all in the back corner. I walked up the bleachers, and sat down on the end. I gave a burrito to Leo, and took two tacos for myself.
"You guys can eat the rest." I passed the bag of food, down the aisle. Everyone chowed down on the food, and finally they separated and began the tryouts. There was cheerleading, which Bethany led, football with Leo, Jacob, and Hector, basketball, with Adelaine Mike, and soccer, with Destiny. Many people tried out for all of them. After tryouts ended, we all stayed in the gym, and played a game of basketball. We were all pretty good, but only Mike was on the boys' team, and Adelaine for the girls' team. After that ended, we all went home. On Saturday morning, Leo came down to my room, and blew a horn in my face. I jumped out of bed.
"Yo, stop. Don't do that." I got out of bed, and washed up. I changed into black leggings, a long denim button up shirt, and a black infinity scarf. I put on light brown booties, and my hair in a bun.
"Don't you have anything better to do? I think I'm going deaf." I rubbed my ears.
"I'm sorry, baby." He pulled me into a hug, and kissed me on the cheek.
"Why are you here so early?" I asked.
"It's 2pm." He looked at me.
"I'm tired." I went to sit down on my bed.
"What time did you sleep?" He asked.
"Little before midnight." I answered.
"Okay, you're not tired." He said, pulling me up. I followed him out of my room. I made a cup of coffee, and ate some cereal.
