Third Person POV:
The young pair sit in stillness, gazing deeply into the others glowing eyes. The blonde woman with nervousness and the green eyed man with curiosity. Steadily, the mans green orbs remove themselves from the blue ones and go down to her still exposed stomach.
His veiny hand reaches up to caress the soft skin and appreciate the grooves of the smooth stretch marks. A small smile alights on his face at the idea of a child being held in her beautiful tummy, but then disappears once he really thinks about it.
"Was?" He asks with a broken voice. "What happened?" He further ask the fidgeting beauty in front of him.
"I gave birth to him."
"And?" Hero looks up to Jo's eyes in new found hope.
"He is with my aunt." She explains to the love of her life and father of her baby boy.
Hero thinks for a moment, "why is that?"
Jo quickly removes her eyes from his burning one and looks out of the window of her Jeep, "because, I know I have problems. Bad ones, and I cannot be the mother that he needs me to be while I am like this." Her eyes return to being filled with tears, "so I made the decision to keep him there, I go and visit him sometimes. He's getting so big and looks just like you." A small chuckle escapes her lips as she thinks about her sons dark hair and green eyes. "Even the same scowl." She lightly smiles. "Are you mad?" She then asks, nervous again.
This is the moment when tears start to flood the mans eyes. "I am not mad, Josephine." He sighs. "But I wish I could've been there to see you pregnant, and him being born." He then looks deeply into her eyes. "But I will not see him till you get yourself together so that when I do see him, it won't be for a visit, but to take him home."
The blonde haired Aussi frantically nods her head, "I will, I will." She leans in and grips the Englander tightly into her arms.
"What is his name?" Hero whispers into his loves ear.
"Henry James Langford-Finnes-Tiffin, Henry like Hero and James like Josephine." is her soft reply.
"Wow, isn't that quite the mouthful," Hero chuckles. A warm feeling spreads through his chest after finding out what his precious boys name is.
"Not as much of a mouthful as yours," she giggles back. "But thank you for not being mad." She then sighs in regret for everything that has happened over the last five years. Five because of when everything really went to shit.
"Have you been in therapy since being here?" He then asks his girl, fearful of the answer.
She shakes her head 'no'. "I just couldn't do it without you. You really are my rock." She squeezes him tighter to him.
"Well your about to start again, I want our son in my arms soon."
"Anything for you."
Six hours later....
Jo's POV:
"Hello everyone! Let's get this party started!" I shout to the crowd. This is the first night since I started that I wasn't shit-faced drunk while doing this, well except for when I was pregnant. Even with being a alcoholic, I couldn't do that to my kid. I just couldn't.
Before the show started, I was offered alcohol at least two dozen times, it took a lot of will-power to reject it but just imagining Hero holding Henry was enough to get me to say no. Closing my eyes and envisioning singing to the two most important people in my life almost completely took the urge away. But not matter what, it will always slightly be there, challenging me of my strength to resist it.
