Everyone pauses and snap their heads over to a fuming Hero. "Why are you all here?" He practically growls out. His dominance and authority radiates over the front deck where everyone is standing. Which is quite hot I might add.
Jake stupidly is the first one to speak of course, "I came here to talk to J," his tone is cocky as I put my face in my hands and Hero possessively wraps his arm around my waist.
"Now why have you come to talk to my wife?" Instantly this makes me smile and look up at him, but he's not looking at me, instead he is giving a death glare to Jake, as Jake is giving one right back.
But suddenly I think he recognizes Hero and his face drops. Jake looks over to me, "it hasn't even been a year since you left Australia and you're already married? How much did he pay you?" His question offends me deeply.
"Pay me-"
I'm cut off by Kathrine suddenly exclaiming, "you got married and didn't tell me?! Let alone invite me to the wedding?!" I wince at her screeching. Kat marches up to me, grabbing my bicep and pulling me into the house then practically throw me down next to where Henry is sitting.
I pull him into my lap as everyone else fills into the room loudly. Felix, Jordyn and Marco holding Hero and Jake apart, Kathrine and the other two girls and Tony having a loud conversation about why they weren't invited to the wedding. "Everyone, quite down," I snap, then look down at Henry who is looking at everyone wide eyed. "You're alright, baby," I hold his head to my chest and caress his hair. They all do as I say, noticing the little man in my arms.
"Thweres so many big pweople," he whispers to me terrified. Henry hates to be around new adults, he doesn't like how they tower over him.
"I know, want me to tell them to leave?" I ask him, quickly he nods his head and hides his face in my neck. Looking up I see that everyone besides Hero is staring at me with wide eyes. I stand up with Henry in my arms, "we'll have this discussion some other day, for now I'd like to go spend sometime with my son, Hero, please escort them out."
Hero nods with a small smile, "of course, love."
"Wait! Son?!" Jake exclaims, I feel Henry grip onto me tightly, snapping my eyes to him, I give him a harsh glare.
"Quite," I grunt and walk to the stairs.
"I didn't mean it like that! Please I just need to talk to you," he stops me once again. With a sigh I walk over to Hero placing Henry in his arms against his protests, it makes my heart clench in pain.
"Nooo, mama," I can see he's on the verge of tears. They make his different colored eyes sparkle and the whites of his eyes turn red.
I run my fingers through his hair, "I'm sorry, baby, I'll be right back, just stay with daddy for a moment, alright? Can you do that?" I ask him softly, trying to coax him into saying yes.
"Noooo, I cwan't, mama," he replies and reaches for me, Henry is clearly tired and about to have a breakdown if I leave him. Me and Hero look at each other sadly, clearly feeling the same thing, "I don't want you to talk to him either," Hero whispers.
I turn towards the rest, "tomorrow, come back at two pm, I don't wanna see any of you any earlier or later." I demand, fed up and really just wanting to be with my boys.
"But-" Tony starts.
"Zip it," I point at him. Slowly they all exit the house I follow after them, and here Henry start to crying loudly, screaming 'mommy'. I quickly shut the door after them after saying a brief goodbye.
I return to Henry and take him into my arms, his cry's immediately go quiet, only sniffles left behind. Me and Hero have had a discussion about this, we assume his clingyness towards the both of us stem from him not having us present in the first few years of his life.
