"You know, when you said you wanted to audition for a movie I was thinking more of a... you know action movie maybe with only platonic relationships. Not a romance movie!" Hero exclaims the moment he reads through the script his- I mean our manager sent over to me.

After Hero fired Dean I had seen he emailed me what the movie was and I was able to get Jamie to pull some strings to get the script for me.

"Oh my Lord!" I exclaim as I throw my hands up and turn towards him. "You've been in plenty of romance movies-"

"One. I've been in one, and I wasn't even one of the main characters!" He retorts like a know-it-all.

"Yeah, you still had to kiss someone and I'm not even trying out for the lead role!"

He narrows his eyes at me like a child, "anything. Can. Happen." Hero speaks slowly, like he's trying to get something implanted in my mind.

"Like what?" I cross my arms and pop a hip out, daring him to say something stupid.

"Well," he starts dramatically. "One of those wankers can set their eyes on you on that set and think you're open for business." He realizes his mistake once he says it and my eyebrows shoot up. Before I even speak, he starts raising up his arms defensively with a look of fear of his face.

"Oh no you DIDNT!" I slowly walk towards him as he walks back before suddenly jumping on him as he releases a high pitched scream and we both fall onto the couch with me on top of him. I grab the collar of his shirt, yanking him back and forth making him come up from the couch only to but pushed back into it. "I AM NOT A GODDAM SUPER MARKET YOU FILTHY ANIMAL!"

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!" He screams and flails his arms and legs under me. "YOURE CRAZYYYYYY!!!!"

He gets enough strength to roll us over, I flop onto the ground and let out a loud 'oof' as he falls on top of me. Hero pins my arms above my head and straddles my waist, "who looks stupid now-" my knee comes up between his legs swiftly. "You bitch," he whines and falls into the fetal position on the ground next to me while he holds his man bits protectively.

"That's what you get for being a idiot," I chuckle as I stagger to stand up, feeling a bit winded.

Hero slightly lifts his head from the ground and looks at me with narrowed eyes. "Yeah yeah, just wait till I fuck you later, you'll wish you would've never-"

I jump onto him, moving us so that I am straddling him. His hands rest on my hips as mine rest on his chest. "Instead of finishing that sentence, how about you show me instead?"

His eyes gaze up at me with a unreadable expression as his hold on my hips grows tighter and more firm. Ever so slowly we lean in, our lips only a breath away.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Henry runs in the room with his little SpongeBob backpack strapped on, he flings his body onto mine. Following after him is both mine and Hero's parents.

They look at us with knowing eyes while I hug Henry, I gasp and stand up with Henry in my arms. "Mom, dad!" I exclaim, taking Henry with me while I go hug my parents in greeting before doing the same to Hero's parents. "How're you guys?" I ask breathing heavily, any sort of movement more than just walking slow has never been my forte.

"We are doing great, I assume the same for you and Hero," Hero's mom answers and smirks.

One month later...

"Hero!" I exclaim in exasperation.

"What? I'm just saying, if one of them look at you with even a sliver of lust, I'm killing them," he raises his hands and purses his lips together like what he said was no big deal.

I scoff and roll my eyes, "yeah, whatever." I turn and face away from him, grabbing my scarf from its place on the table, getting ready to leave for my audition. I feel like Henry has been spending too much time away at our parents, so right after the audition I'm going to go pick him up and probably not let him leave my side for years.

Wrapping my dark brown scarf around my neck to fight the chilling air of fall New York, Hero's large arms encase my waist as his front presses to my back. "Please, let me take you," he whispers in my ear. I notice the double meaning behind his words.

Suddenly feeling, overwhelmed?- annoyed?- not myself I guess, I speak in a flat tone. "I have to go," I simply unwrap his arms from around me. As I close the door I see the confused look in his eyes. He noticed my change in mood I'm guessing.

I hold back tears as I approach the car and get in, I lean forward leaning my head on the staring wheel letting the tears free. Why am I crying?

Faintly I hear the car door open during my breakdown, I'm lifted out of the car and walked over to the passenger seat. "I'll drive you, love."

The car ride to the building the audition is being held in, is a silent one until Hero decides to break it. "Are you excited?" What kind of question is that?

"Yeah," I take a deep breath, "I guess. More nervous though, I think."

Out of the corner of my eye, I see him nod. "Understandable, the first few auditions are always the most nerve-racking. To be honest I still get nervous before mine. But once you get into the zone, it becomes a breeze." He flashes a dimpled smile at me and I let out a short laugh.

Suddenly I remember something, "Hero, I forgot to tell you, but I have a show tomorrow night."

His brows furrow, "how can you forget to tell me that?!"

"I-I don't know I just didn't think it was a big deal," I stumble over my words fast, startled by his reaction.

He scoffs, "whatever."

"I'm sorry-" I try to tell him.

"Just shut up for a second!" He hits his palms against the wheel. His eyes widen, "Jo-"

"Let me out, Hero!" I yell, my heart sinks in my chest.

"No, please-"

"You better pull this fucking car over or I swear I'll jump out," tears sting my eyes as a lump grows in my throat.

He sighs pulling to the side of the street, I go to open the door but he quickly locks it. "Jo, I'm sorry, please don't go." Hero pleads.

"Fuck this and fuck you," I spit before unlocking the door and climbing out. A wave of deja vu passes over me, this exact thing has happened before. One of us says stupid shit and the other storms away. Never dealing with the problem.

The sound of his door opening and closing rings in my ears as does the sound of his quick steps approaching me. Soon his arms are thrown around my shoulders, encasing my back to his front.

"I know you're thinking the same thing as me, Josephine. Can we please just talk about it?" His voice is filled with sorrow.

I sigh, "later, I just need to get my audition, I don't wanna be late." Hero releases me and we walk back to the car in silence. Not a word to be spoken the whole way to it.
