Tuesday Morning
Trying to go out has become like an episode of Takeshi's castle and I hate it, I feel like a soldier at war.
S12 pulled up three times this weekend. I won't lie, what RB done to them was peak. But S12's retaliation didn't even match that. The third time they pulled up, they didn't even touch anyone, they just lit up the town centre like the London riots. They went through the main high street smashing windows and fucking up all the shops. Now every gang in Rushton is onto them and it serves them right. What the fuck?
Do you know what pisses me off most though? If Dillon just swallowed his pride, we wouldn't have reached this. Fam, I've got 6 foot niggas trying to beef my likkle self. What the fuck?? You think that little stunt at tesco on Friday was bad? On Sunday I walked Daniel and Reeko to the bus stop and some tall nigga tried to jump me on the way back. I had to dip him so I could escape! Never thought I would be in that position again, me having to dip people? After this weekend that flicky has become my best friend. You may think I shouldn't be carrying a knife, but it's easy to say that when niggas aren't trying to kill you all the time.
But anyways, worse news is I have to go back to school. Yesterday, Mr Jerry threatened to send police to my house because we're 'truanting'. I picked up the phone on accident and he heard Justine and Shantae in the background. It's not like we're not doing work though, I've actually still been going through my textbooks! Shantae and Justine brought the books from my locker before they stopped going in.
I was gonna ignore his threats but last night my mum went off. She threatened to send me to Ghana!! Not even Uncle Dan's. Apparently Mr Jerry called her workplace, who then referred him to her international number kmt.
Shantae kisses her teeth as we walk through the gate "It's assembly today."
The olders dropped us to school as usual, and are waiting outside till we finish.
"We should've come after then, Mr Jerry wouldn't have noticed." I say.
She sighs "Well we're here now so."
We make our way to the assembly hall, aka the gymnasium. Our school has these pull out stands that they use for year 10 and 11 at the back. Then they put individual chairs in front of it for years 7 to 9. We're a bit late though, on assembly days school starts at 8:15 so there's time for everyone to be seated. It's currently 8:20, so most people are already seated. We go to our individual form tutors, who are still lined up next to the stands checking people off before they sit down. Once we've all been checked off, we sit together at the end of the year 10 row.
Someone behind us pretends to choke as we sit down "S-S-Skets!"
A few people chuckle. All of us turn around briefly, looking for who said it.
Shantae stands up, tying back her hair "Who said that?"
I tug at her blazer, telling her to calm down. We just got back to school and we're really in assembly lol.
A teacher gestures for her to sit down.
She kisses her teeth. Just as she's about to sit, our eyes shift to some year 11s sniggering a couple rows behind us. At the center of them are the two girls Shantae and I beefed. I shake my head "They're actually wet."
"Big man ting, leave it Shantae." Justine says, nudging her. "They're bored fam."
She kisses her teeth then says "Neeks!" before she finally sits down.
