My body was finished after the medicine wore out. I didn't go school for the rest of the week, I just stayed in bed. Mr Jerry didn't even get onto me, he even called to make sure I wasn't coming in. But after plenty of rest I'm pretty much back to normal now, the swelling and pain has decreased.
In other news, Shantae, Zanisha and Justine got excluded for 3 days, so I'm alone in school. When they told me I was so confused. Obviously now they had planned to dig deeper into finding the snake, so they were gonna confront Roxanne and Alexis' friends after school. They weren't gonna say anything till then, but apparently at Friday lunch, Roxanne and Alexis came out of nowhere and started a fight. So all of them got excluded. Kmt. Why would they start a fight in school? On the last day of the week? They know that Mr Jerry gave us all a warning after the arena incident. He literally said if any of us get into an altercation, we're getting an instant exclusion. It's like they wanted to get excluded. Stupid girls.
I take my seat in Maths, at the front of the classroom. All the students file in and sit down in their different seats. Miss sits down at her desk, on the computer.
I set out my pencil case and calculator on my desk. We have individual tables for this subject to help us concentrate, so I have space to myself. I like it that way to be honest, helps me to focus. I'm in set 5 out of 8 for maths. We only had 4 sets before we mixed with Bradford so I was in set 2 originally, but since we mixed I got moved down. I'm not amazing at maths so it was surprising to find myself in set 2 anyways. What can I say, I'm more of a writer.
As I get out my book and put it on the table, I feel something hit my head. I look to my side and see it's a crumpled ball of paper. Neal.
He actually lives to wind me up I'm telling you, watch me get him back.
"Here Miss." I answer my name in the register.
I start writing down the date and copying the learning objectives off the board.
Something hits me again. I hear sniggering behind me.
Choosing to ignore it again, I start looking for my work book in my bag. I'm aiming to get a B in this subject, I'm currently working at a C-/ D. To be honest, it's another subject I need to ask Brandon for help in, or probably Rakai. Rakai is good at maths the way Brandon is good at science, straight A*s. Although, Brandon does still average at A-/B which is still good.
Once I find my work book in my bag, I put it on the table and start reading through yesterday's lesson. Algebra. And obviously this topic is very important because the UK's currency is x and y and we need to find the square root of pi in order to pay for a packet of crisps. Stay in school kids, you need these life skills.
Something hits me again, this time heavier.
I kiss my teeth, then pick up a textbook and throw it at Neal's head. It hits him perfectly on the forehead, making a loud SMACK sound.
The classroom erupts in laughter.
"KYRAH!" Miss shouts.
"What? I was just passing him the book." I say innocently, crossing my arms.
She points to the door "Out! Take your things and go to Mr David's class. You know my rules!"
I scoff "But why?! All I di-"
"Or would you prefer detention?"
I kiss my teeth then pick up my things. I hate detentions, just a waste of my precious time. Miss holds the door open and waits for me to get up. She hasn't liked me since I joined her class, of course she'd be excited to throw me out.
