Latris has ended and I was forced to return to school. I was more or less reluctant to go back to school, there were a few different reasons the major one being I've already gone through this why the hell do I have to go through this again, being my main mindset. However, I had a job to do so I made my way to school either way. Using my motorcycle in order to get there.
When I arrived there was a fair number of students looking at me, for I was in my full motorcycle outfit. Something not only a little surprising to see considering the weather but also something fairly uncommon to show up at the school. I removed my helmet and wet inside the school ignoring the chatter of the students as I passed grabbing my things from my locker I went to my classroom and sat down.
I wasn't the only one that was the major talk about in the school there was another person that was being talked about and it wasn't necessarily for a good reason. This girl named Alyssa had up ad disappeared over Latris. After a quick search, the Alyssa missing was none other than Ari's stalker, that had gone missing.
Alyssa had gone missing during the middle of Latris and no one has seen anything of her since. Her parents are greatly concerned apparently due to their daughter's disappearance. Though I'm not sure if I truly believe that and it's not to get some kind of attention considering the number of articles they commissioned in less than a week not to mentioned her 'parent's' expressions looked fake. Something wasn't adding up for me but I couldn't put my finger on it.
"How is it benign back to school after a few months Roxie?"
"Hell. I would rather fight Bloody again rather than being here. It's boring to no end. I would rather skip if it was just too dangerous to do that."
"Hahaha, not surprising."
"Did you hear about what happened to Ari's stalker?"
"That Alyssa girl right? Yeah about her being kidnapped what about it?"
"Something about it doesn't feel right but I don't know what. We should inform the others to stay on guard."
"Ah... you don't know about it do you?"
"About what?"
"About a month before you got back... a number of our members were attacked. There was a large scale mission and... almost the whole team died. Most of our friends were apart of that team."
"What?!"
Roy placed his hands over my mouth as I exclaimed that out of shock. "Yeah I was planning on telling you before Latris but you were MIA." Roy replied I couldn't stop myself from shaking slightly as I leaned against the desk.
"Out of our friends who is left alive?"
"Angel-Lilly, myself, Alex, and Stan."
"E-everyone else died. My god only a few months ago we were laughing and joking around on the rooftop."
I fell back into the chair and hid my face in my arms I felt Roy soothe my back. I couldn't say who exactly I liked around this time. Roy was a person I've been through my things with and I know I can trust my life with not to mention we grew up in the orphanage together.
Whereas Kaiya I felt an odd draw to him I couldn't explain. I felt at ease being with him that I normally don't feel with others and I feel like he is someone I could trust, especially due to that pact we made. A few days ago over text, I asked him to call me to be my future codename Ryna, and we've talked a few times with one another that feeling hasn't gone away.
Roy left me to sit in his seat and it wasn't long till people filled the classroom and the teacher arrived. The teacher glared at me for a moment clearly still pissed of at me from what happened a few months ago. I ignored the glare and just sank in my seat wanting to leave this damn place even more than ever. I pulled my phone out and went through the messaging app then strolled over to the name Loki, which was Kaiya's codename we are using them for safety reasons.
R: I'm a little upset right now. An ally of mine informed me that on a mission a few months ago most of my friends died. I've known most of them since I was a kid.
R: I'm well aware that we are very likely to die. ... What we are doing is fairly dangerous. So we were taught not to fear death in the end, to keep our heads when those you work with have died. But nothing could have prepared me for what happened. They went on a mission together, high priority type. Pretty much the whole team died.
L: A month ago... I think I heard something about this. It was a sudden call for immediate aid from another organization. Two orgs went to aid them and all 3 were blindsided. Very few people survived.
R: It was probably that. I wonder what was so important they decided to act. I wonder if it was someone attacking that group trying to make the elixir. It usually happens once a year doesn't it.
L: You could be right. I don't get why they keep trying.
R: They probably want to either make money or gain the special abilities rumoured it can grant. After all, being able to cast 'magic' without the extremely rare eleore that only the top orgs have and even then they have it in limited supply and only a few people can get.
R: Think about it you have eleore. You must be fairly high ranked in your organization, which is a feat in itself since it must be one of the top 4 orgs too.
L: You are right about that. What about you? You said you are fairly high ranking. Do you not have eleore?
R: Ah I don't need eleore.
L: I could get you some.
R: No need.
L: What would you like then?
R: Well, I don't need any active thing since my organization provides it but... well. I actually really like soft textures, and flowers are nice, even something sweet is good.
L: Alright I'm making note of that.
I felt my face flush slightly, I was just throwing something out randomly yes there are things I like but I didn't expect his reply. I shook my head slightly. I put my phone down and went back to focusing on class. It was a long drag to her till school finally ended. She was walking and talking with Roy as they guarded Ari and Dave as they made their way to the car.
"Are you sure you won't come home with us Roxanne?" Dave asked looking at me with pleading eyes. I was slightly surprised that he asked me that considering everything he knew.
"No, I will not. Your mother does not wish me to live with you, I've already got all my things so it's fine." I replied in a low tone so others couldn't hear me. As I got closer to my motorcycle I noticed an animal sitting by it. I walked over to it to notice that there was a small bag in front of it I walked over to it and extended my hand it. It was a black/grey coloured fox, it went towards me and sniffed my hand.
The fox began to wag its tail and force its head into my hand and lightly biting it. Then the fox pushed the bag lightly towards me. "Oh is this for me?" I asked as I grabbed the bag and opened it to find a small bouquet of violets, and a little red plush dragon there was also a little card. "I'll always be on your side -Loki." the letter said.
It caused me to laugh a little. "Thank you for bringing this to me. I'll send your master a message later to thank him and tell him you did a good job." I told the fox it replied with a slight bark. From the corner of my eyes, I noticed Roy make an odd face. "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah... just fine." Roy muttered in a low tone with a dark expression.
I pet the fox's fuzzy ears. "You best get out of here and back to your master before something happens. Though I want to pet you more I have somethings to do. So you should get going now." I told the fox, to get it to run off. I then put the gift in the bag and put on my helmet before starting it. I watched as the Fox ran off as Roy left to follow after Ari and Dave.
