Its been about two weeks since I returned to the police department as Detective Red eye's and over that time the Imitator (the killer imitating the Assassin yes that is what we are calling them I know it's not very creative). The media has somehow learned of this name despite not making such information public yet. The station is being sure not to mix up the cases anymore with the names and creating an profile for the killer.
The Imitator mainly goes after students and uses multiple different styles of other infamous criminals like the Assassin, the Night, Cat Theif, Angel Lilly, Swordmaster, and a few others. They are trying to frame other criminals for the crimes they commit, which are opposite to the way the others act as if to slander or hurt the other criminal's names with these actions.
I was ending another day of school followed by investigating at the station with others that are also working the case. It was getting late, however, and I needed to get back home. I happened to run into my partner after I left the changing room. "Do you want me to take you home?"
"No, it's alright. Just walk me to the end of the parking lot. I'm going to walk home, getting back late for the last few nights getting dropped off in a squad car is getting Mrs. Luo on edge."
"It's going to be a long walk."
"Do you think I mind?"
"Heh, probably not."
After parting with my partner, I began going into a slight jog to hurry home as I didn't want to get in trouble with Mrs. Luo again for being out so late. By the way, she sometimes acts you'd think she's my mother. It was weird to me having an actual mother figure, but I continued to act like it didn't bother me. It was bizarre for me dealing with this family stuff in all honesty and maybe a little annoying and tiring. It was defiantly not something I was used to.
After some time I turned down a street it was dark and quiet with a looming presence in the air about it, probably an average teen would have found it terrifying or at the very least put them on edge. But I'm not an ordinary teen, but that looming feeling was still there, and I knew it probably wasn't going to be a good thing. "Not only will she be mad, but Ari's going to bother me again about being late if I don't hurry up." I groaned, shaking my head a little as I picked up my pace still not running.
I then got a strong feeling of danger jumped out of the way and quickly pulled out a dagger and held it tight. Blades immediately clashed, I quickly spun around to face my attacker face to face.
"Your different from the others I've gone for."
"Yes, I am... Imitator now what are you going to do! Kill me."
"Of course! Why do you think I'm here."
"Well, that's not something I'm going to let happen!" I huffed, as I twirled my blade around my hand and changed the position of the blade then slashed.
I allowed a small opening and the Imitator went for it. I quickly brought up my blade to change where he would hit; I got a cut on my check from the person's blade. He had an opening from that, so I attacked getting their side but not that deep but enough to make it bleed.
"So what are you male? Female? What's your game?" I questioned, and I cut the side of their face which was not fully covered but well enough to make it difficult to see any of their facial features that could give me any clues.
"I'm not stupid enough to answer," the Imitator huffed missing my ear as he attacked. I noticed the voice sounded more masculine, so I assume male they are male. But he saw my slight apparent distraction, and he went in for another attack. I flipped back to avoid his attack it cut a few of my hairs I have to be more careful.
