By the time I reach my place it was nearing the morning only a few hours before school began. I looked at the clock specifically the date and two days had passed since I was captured. 'Make sense why I fell more than a little parched.' I muttered, as I closed the door behind me and removed my helmet.
I enter my flat and went into the kitchen and chugged 2 large glasses of water I then noticed that though there was no ice the glass fogged over slightly. I just passed it off as something else as I removed my blood-soaked clothing that despite my injuries was not torn or ripped. I threw my clothing into the wash before taking a shower to clean the blood off my body.
I then wrapped bandages around my back injury taking note of the extent of the cut. With her back wrapped she sat down on the couch and cleaned the blood out of her helmet with a cloth. By the time her clothes were wash and dry and her helmet was cleaned out it was time to head off to school. I tried to hide my more than normally pale face as I got ready for school and this time for the first time I'm actually bringing my weapons along after what that person told me.
"When this is all over... I'm going to look into this Delta that Nox mentioned. It's my clue on finding him." I muttered as I put my gun away. I let out a slight sigh as I got up and made my way over to to the door and went off to school once more.
...
As I sat in class I was avoiding letting my back touch the chair due to my injury. "Roxie... are you alright? You went missing for 2 days. You look pale and uncomfortable."
"[Yeah...]" I tried to reply by my voice wasn't coming out at the moment. 'Yeah, I'm fine.' I replied but as I said that I became the extremely light head and felt ill. I quickly stood up and race out of the room to the washroom. I stood in the stall as I learn against the door.At some point, my phone vibrated.
L: You need to get out of the school now!
R: Why?
L: The Marione are going to launch an attack now!
I quickly switched chat rooms
A: Roy! Protect Ari and Dave! Everyone its a code red! The Marione plan on attacking a civilian building the school!
As soon as I sent out that message a loud explosion shook the school. 'Fuck!'
The sound of the explosion was very close. I raced out of the bathroom and saw flames engulfing the hallway of the 3rd floor. I raced over to the fire alarm and pulled it. The bell began to ring ad past the flames I could see students racing out of their classrooms. I had next no clear path to escape But I could access the stairs to the roof. I went to the roof and look down at the chaos unfolding below me.
'I'm glad I didn't put anything important in my locker today.' I thought as I looked down below at the gathered students. The fire was spreading fairly quickly and it was clear some students were burned, others in a complete panic. I was the only person trapped up on the roof I knew if I didn't get out the place would collapse on me.
Images from the past flooded my head and I shook it desperately to get those thoughts out of my mind. I looked down one last time when I noticed some students pointing at me. I turned around and walked away from the ledge I looked at the area I had rested in and ate lunch so many times in the past 6 or so months. I then made my way back down the stairs and at this point, the 3rd-floor hallway was covered in flames.
My body began to shake and I had trouble catching my breath. I place my hands on my chest and knelt down to the floor. 'I can't I can't. Not again not again.' I muttered. Things at this exact point was a little blurry as I was in a total panic.
Back then I had an extreme fear of fire after what happened all those years ago. I couldn't more nor think properly as the fire began to get closer and closer decreasing my chances of escape every second I remained stuck in place. As the fire was about to burn my clothing and me, "Aaaaaaaaah!" I let out a scream.
All the fire near me disappeared and backed off, I began to clam a little. 'The fire... disappeared. My power is stronger. I can control fire not just summon it and have resistance. I-I think... I can do this.' I muttered getting to my feet I walked towards the flames to reach my only exit. The flames didn't burn me though it scorched my school uniform. Though still scared out of my wits I began to pick up the pace realizing it wasn't a fluke. As I was halfway to the stairs on the other end of the hallway the floor underneath me collapsed out from under me. I fell to the ground avoiding getting crushed by derby but my exits on both sides were blocked.
...
At this point, the school was engulfed in flames as students watched. But was all seems slight calm something occurred as cars pulled up and people with masks and guns jumped up and begun to terrorize the students. Roy and Ari got split up but Roy did manage to find Dave. Roy had an extremely bad gut feeling and hid Dave as best as he could.
The market people began to shower through the crowds looking for someone when someone acted up they shot them without mercy. No one could call for help or use their cell phones as the group had an EMP field over the area for the 'raid' that they were committing. "Stay quiet and don't speak." Roy told Dave.
The masked people firing guns and roughly searching people eventually found one person they were looking for. They one held Ari by the throat choking him out before having him restrained and thrown into the car. "We are still looking for at least one or two more. I child and a person with a major injury. They both should be here find them!" The masked person exclaimed ordering the others. They began to search more getting closer and close to Roy's position.
Closer and closer pushing people and killing some of the entire area school. No this entire area of the city was in total chaos as the Marione pulled off a major daytime raid announcing to every dark organization that they are still around and powerful. Right as they were about to find Roy and Dave, Roy was about to use his ability to hide Dave. When a shot rang out.
