I am writing a letter to Jimmy when Alexander barges in, a gloating smile on his face. ''What are you smiling about, you picked another fight with Aaron'' I ask, putting my quill and papers away. ''The general just made me his aide de camp, which is basically his right hand man'' he smirks, winking to me, his powdered hair in a neat ponytail. ''More like over glorified secretary'' I chuckle, giving Alexander a taunting smile. ''Whatever, follow me. The general requests your presence'' Alex states, gesturing for me to follow him. I follow him out of the tent a unnerving feeling falling over me. ''What is this about Alex'' I ask, nervously fixing my jacket. ''I'll tell you if you give me a kiss'' he snickered, still walking on. ''No and that is taking abuse of your post'' I retaliate pushing my hand on the puckered lips he so charmingly stuck out. ''Al right, I don't know'' he admits, halting when we get to general Washingtons tent. He knocks softly on the wooden pole.

''Come in Hamilton and Sampson'' we hear from inside the tent. My nerves are still very much there, but I do feel a bit better knowing that Alex is there, surely he won't let me be dismissed. ''Take a seat'' he gestures at me, Alex sits at an desk in the corner, quill already in hand. I salute him and sit down. ''I have decided to send you on a special mission'' he states, his grey eyes piercing into mine, as I shift uncomfortable in the hard wooden chair. ''We have intel gathered that there is a General in town tonight. I want you to serve as a spy for me'' I hear that Alex's quill stopped flying over the paper, general Washington ushing some papers and a bag over the table to me. Í take the bag and papers, but don't read them yet, instead asking him a question.

''What do you mean sir'' I ask, a little confused on the specifics of the mission. ''I want you to seduce the general and accompany him back to Britain. He leaves 2 days from now, so it is important you leave this afternoon'' he elaborates, my stomach twists and my heart suddenly ticks faster. He wants me to go over the ocean to Britain.

''But sir, that is incredibly dangerous'' Alex objects, standing up, his voice laced with worry. ''Hamilton sit down, I know it is dangerous, but I feel that Sampson is up to the task. The British invasion proved that she is more than capable'' he commands, turning back to give me an polite smile. ''But sir, we ca..'' Alex tries, still standing up ''Alexander follow your orders'' I cut him off, silently giving him a glance, signalling that I'll be okay. His eyes remain the same panicky gaze although he finally sits down and holds his tongue. ''Thank you sir. '' I salute him, taking the papers and I walk out of the tent. My heart beating basically out of my chest, I need to be on my best acting for his mission. Better than my previous acting and lying or I will be found out within a matter of hours or days.

''Debs'' I hear Alex say from behind me. I stop in my tracks, waiting for Alexander to catch up. I won't let him convince me to not go, this is my chance to really proof myself and help Washington. Alex abruptly stops when he reaches me and takes my hand. Pulling me behind a tent his ponytail, slightly flying with the speed he is going. ''Alex'' I protest, trying to pull my hand free. ''Please don't go'' he pleads, his violet-blue twinkling beautifully in the scattered sunlight trough the trees. ''I have my orders Alex. I am not disobeying orders'' I reply in a state of manner, fixing my ponytail. My heart stinging at the obvious panic in the mans voice. He sighs and balls his fist up, his gaze fixed on the floor. I look at his lips they are slightly opening, obviously Alexander is going to talk again. I take his hand in mine ''You can't convince me Alexander'' I whisper softly, lifting his chin up so he looks into my eyes. This may be the last time I ever see him, I realize that all too well. I lean in, connecting our lips. He freezes at first, obviously not expecting me to do this. But then he melts into the kiss, gently putting his hands on my lower back and pulling me closer. My heart flutters and I put my hands in his hair, brushing our lips against each other, his lips taste sweet like oranges and apples. I wish I could freeze time, right here, right now. Standing with him here for forever, but I have a mission. I disconnect our lips, leaning my forehead against his.
