After running out of school like that, I got countless calls from Hyunjin and Seungmin.

Not wanting to talk, I declined them all.

But here they are, shamelessly standing at my doorstep even though I made it clear that I didn't want to see them.

I sigh and open the door, getting annoyed at how many times they're ringing the doorbell.

Hyunjin: Felix, are you okay?

Seungmin: Yeah, we were so worried when you just left school without waiting for us like you usually do.

Felix: I... I don't know what to feel right now...

They look at each other and smile as if they had some kind of telepathic power.

Hyunjin: Ok, let's completely forget about what happened, alright?

Seungmin: Yeah, are you up for a movie?

Felix: Guys...

Hyunjin: Shush, you can thank us later for being such good friends.

Seungmin: And then we can visit your dad for a bit before your part-time job.

Felix: Okay.

After watching some boring romance movie that Seungmin wanted to watch (and we all know Hyunjin can't say no to Seungmin), we start walking to the hospital.

Hyunjin: How bad is it for your dad? Can he still talk?

Seungmin: Is his face all pale? Does food get injected into him through tubes?

Felix: Guys, it's not that bad yet. He can still talk, but only for a bit. He's only a little pale, and he can eat by himself. He doesn't need tubes.

By the time I finish answering all of their questions, we arrive at the hospital.

My dad's face practically lights up when he sees all of us.

Dad: Hyunjin, Seungmin, what a surprise! It's been so long since I've seen you, kids.

Hyunjin: Uncle, we're not kids anymore!

Seungmin: Yeah, I'll be in college next year, you know?

Dad: Hmm, Hyunjin you've gotten way taller. Maybe tell Felix a few tips, yeah? He's been the same height since he started high school.

Felix: Dad!

Hyunjin: He's not lying though.

Soon, it's time for me to leave for my part-time job.

Felix: I have to go now, bye dad.

Hyunjin: We're gonna stay and have a movie night with uncle, you go.

Seungmin: Yeah, we're gonna have so much fun!

Felix: Wow dad, stealing my friends are we?

Dad: What can I say? I'm just cooler than you.

I roll my eyes and hug my dad before leaving.
