I take a deep breath and step out of the car, eyeing the large building in front of me.

I spot another car stop behind us, my father coming out of it.

His eyes widen slightly when spots us as if he didn't expect us to come.

He rolls his eyes and struts into the building, like some kind of spoiled 9-year old kid.

Who does he think he is?

Changbin: That fucker really-

Felix: Changbin, calm down. He'll know his place after we win the case. Don't do anything for now, okay?

He holds my hand and gives it a light squeeze.

I look at him and smile, my anger vanishes instantly.

Changbin: Okay.

Yonghee: Y'all, let's do a quick check. Are all the proofs and evidence here?

I look around and nod after spotting everything we need.

Changbin: Yup.

Yonghee: Okay, I and the others will be sitting at the front. Namjoon, it all comes down to you.

Namjoon: Wow, no pressure.

Jin: Oh, come on baby. I know you can do it. I'll be right behind you, you know my face is a lucky charm~

Yonghee: You narcissistic piece of-

Jin: Shush shush, I know you're just jealous.

Yonghee: I-

Changbin: Uhh- we should head in, it's time for our case.

Everyone heads into court and takes a seat in the front benches, while I stand at the podium to the right and Namjoon stands in the center with my father's lawyer.

Inside, my father is already at the podium on the left, glaring at me.

Judge: Please bring up your proofs.

Namjoon hands the judge the reports and the USB with the video, but my father's lawyer doesn't do anything.

The judge starts looking through our proofs; everyone in the room is nervous and on the edge.

He takes the USB and plugs it into a device and starts watching the video.

After a few minutes, he looks up and starts speaking.

Judge: These were the proofs presented when Seo Changbin and Lee Felix were said to have put a false accusation on you, right Mr. Seo?

Mr. Seo: Yes, they were.

Judge: Then Namjoon, does your client have anything to prove these are real?

Namjoon: Yes, we have two, actually. First, is the doctor who made the reports. A well-known and respected doctor, Mr. Jeon Jungkook.

Jungkook stands up from the bench and bows towards the judge.

The judge nods and looks back at Namjoon.

Judge: And your second?

Namjoon: A witness of the abuse.

Judge: I request for the witness to come to the podium and speak.

The driver looks at me and I nod, motioning for him to come.

He stands next to me at the podium and starts speaking.

Driver: I've seen Mr. Seo abuse Changbin many times before. He would beat him with belts and even smash glass bottles onto Changbin's head. When he got really mad, he would lock Changbin in a cell in their basement. It was brutal.

Judge: Why didn't you speak up about it?

Driver: I was scared that Mr. Seo would fire me. But after seeing Changbin go through so much, I couldn't take it anymore. That's why I agreed to be their witness.

Judge: Did this treatment start before or after Seo Changbin turned 18?

Driver: Many years before.

Judge: I see...

Judge: Mr. Shin, do you have anything to say in defense of your client?

We all look at my father's lawyer to see if he'll actually say anything.

Mr. Shin: No, even I disagree with my client's actions. I cannot defend his side after seeing the evidence.

At least his lawyer has a heart.

Judge: Then, I have made a decision. After analyzing the proofs presented, I declare Seo Changbin and Lee Felix innocent. And Mr. Seo must serve 15 years in jail for child abuse.

My eyes widen and I can't help but smile.

We finally did it!

Father is getting what he deserves!

Father: Wait! Don't make the decision yet. Can I talk to you... in private?
