After eating the breakfast mom woke up early to make, Changbin and I head to the hospital.

Since I don't have a car, we have to walk there.

I feel a little guilty since Changbin probably isn't used to this, but he tells me he's fine and enjoys walking with me.

After we reach the hospital, the receptionist tells us to sit down while she calls for a nurse.

We wait in the lobby for a few minutes before a nurse tells us to follow her.

She leads us to a room and we go inside.

Suran: You guys are here! Ah, this is Mr. Jeon, my family doctor.

Jungkook: Suran, how many times do I have to tell you. Just call me Jungkook, I'm only a few years older than you.

He turns to us and smiles.

Jungkook: You must be Changbin and Felix. Suran explained the situation to me. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about this visit. Changbin, please sit here. Felix, you and Suran can go wait outside while I do the tests.

I look at Suran, worried that we'll have to wait outside and leave Changbin alone, but she motions for me to follow her.

We walk outside and find a spot in the hallway where no one can listen to our conversation.

Suran: Felix, don't worry. Jungkook is a really nice guy and he understands your situation. He won't hurt Changbin, please trust me.

Felix: Alright, but if something happens...

Suran: Nothing will happen. Let's go sit in the lobby while we wait, okay?

I nod and we go back to the lobby.

The lobby is empty, so I suggest calling Yonghee and filling her in on the situation.

Felix: Can you call Yonghee? Let's give her an update.

Suran: Good idea~

Suran takes out her phone and dials Yonghee's number.

Yonghee answers and she puts the call on speaker.

Yonghee: Baby, what's up? Is everything okay?

Suran: Yeah, I just took Changbin to Jungkook. Felix is waiting with me in the lobby.

Yonghee: Cool, how long will the tests take?

Suran: I don't know for sure. Jungkook said it depends on his condition. If he has a lot of bruises then it can take up to an hour.

Yonghee: Are you bored? Do you want me to come over?

Suran: No, it's fine. Felix is good company.

Yonghee: Is he next to you right now? Can you give the phone to him?

Suran: The call is on speaker mode.

Yonghee: Oh, okay. Felix, Changbin's father is really mad right now. He came by earlier and talked to my dad for a bit. They were in a room so I couldn't make out what they were saying but I'm sure he's gonna do something to get Changbin back. Be careful, alright?

Felix: Ah, thank you for telling me. I'll be careful.

Yonghee: No problem.

They go back to talking and a nurse walks towards me.

Nurse: Sir, can you follow me?

Felix: Jungkook is done already?

Nurse: Yes, but he only needs you to come.

Suran hangs up and looks at her suspiciously.

Suran: I want to come too.

Nurse: Ma'am, Mr. Jeon requested for sir to come alone. Please stay calm and don't make a scene.

Suran: But-

Felix: Suran, I think I should go alone. If Jungkook asked, there must be a good reason.

She sighs and nods.

Suran: Alright, I'll be waiting here. If you don't return soon, I'm gonna call Yonghee for help.

I smile at her and turn around, following the nurse.

She holds my hand and we start walking down the hallway.

But I feel a little... skeptical.

After a few seconds, I notice something's off.

Felix: Miss, I don't think this is the right hallway.

She doesn't respond or show any sign of reaction.

Felix: Miss, where are you taking me? We already passed Jungkook's office.

Her grip on my hand tightens to the point I start squirming in pain.

Felix: Let go of me! It hurts!

I try to stop her, but she just drags me forward.

I look around for help, but the hallway is empty.

Suddenly, she opens a door and pushes me in.

I fall down, landing on my knees with a thud,

I hear the door close behind me and footsteps coming closer, but I'm too scar.ed to look up.

The person laughs and I recognize the voice immediately.

It's Changbin's dad.
