"Shut up!" I jokingly yelled at Noah as we made our way up the stairs toward Carters apartment.

After lunch and Go Karting, we all decided to head back to Carter's place to hang out for the rest of the day, so that the boys could play video games and we could all pig out some more on some snacks. Aka: raiding Carter's fridge.

"You're really telling us that you've never been drunk?" Oliver sounded shocked.

Apparently they all find it difficult to believe that I, a nineteen year old girl, hasn't overly consumed alcohol to the point where I become only slightly aware of my actions. Especially me, the girl who has never gone to a party without her over protective twin brother to watch her every move. Yah, sounds unbelievable.

"I understand the danger if it goes wrong or something." I defended. "Plus I've never had the chance to, considering my brother has been at every party I've ever gone to while he watches and controls my every move."

"Ah, and it all makes sense." Will said, gesturing his hands like he's displaying something.

"Well, your brother isn't around and we are always being invited to parties. You can come with us to the next one, you can bring a friend or whatever and you'll be in a safe enough environment to get drunk." Oliver offered with a mischievous smile.

I laughed in response, not knowing what else to say. All the guys agreed.

"We are the right people to have a good time with." Noah added.

"Dude, that sounds dodgy." Will laughed.

"No, Noah's right. We'd have fun." Carter said.

"I'll think about it. Okay?" I smiled. Satisfied with my response, the guys cheered.

I would think about it, but I'd make sure to bring Cathrine so that I was safe.

We made our way into Carter's apartment and Noah went straight for the fridge, Will ran for the bathroom, Oliver planted himself on Carter's couch and Liam followed Oliver awkwardly. Carter and I stood by the door and watched as his friends made themselves at home. I gave him a look of amusement and he returned it with a half annoyed, half humorous grin. He placed his hand on the small of my back to guide me into his apartment and I felt myself slightly flinch at the gesture. He recoiled his hand.

"I'm sorry, it was subconscious." He apologised.

"Don't worry about it. I just got a fright." I played it off as though my back wasn't still warm and tingling from where his hand was, only seconds ago. I am not used to that kind of affectionate contact, so when Carter placed his hand on my back the way he did it caught me off guard. The remaining tingling feeling I cannot explain...

He gave me a lopsided smile and I smiled back. While I causally walked away, Carter closed the door behind himself and made his way to the couch to sit beside Liam and Oliver. I followed, with little else to do.

"Espen, you wanna play?" Oliver offered my a controller.

"I'd rather watch, I don't want to have to beat you boys twice in one day." I teased. "I doesn't seem fair."

I heard Carter snicker, as I sat beside him on the couch, while Oliver sat with his mouth ajar and Liam smiling.

"What has made Oli have such an expression on his face?" Will laughed as he sat down.

"His ego is being challenged for the second time today." Noah informed Will from the kitchen, with a bite of his sandwich still in his mouth as he spoke.
