'jeon jungkook was an idiot'

The boys were getting ready to head back to the dorm after practices when a trainee approached a very tired jimin. She was shy and blushing but she came to him anyway and gave him a chocolate, wrapped in a red ribbon saying that it's her birthday. Being the caring and loving human he is, jimin puts on the sweetest smile and wishes her a happy birthday, which follows by the other members' wishes. By the time the trainee left the room, the members started to tease the latter which he avoided with a chuckle.

But jimin didn't miss the scowl that laced jungkook's face.He ignored it and tried to join the younger to walk out the building but he was being left behind by the younger.

'What the actual fuck?' he gawked at the scene in front of him. He didn't understand why does it bother him to see jimin getting so much attention, ofcourse the hyung was gorgeous in everyway inside out. But he should be the one who gets to tell the older all that. Why would someone else receive that pretty smile of him? And why the fuck is he patting her head?!  He just wanted to walk out of the room- " Now now, don't be petty and jealous little bun, he's just being kind to her" jin received a glare for this. "Why would i be jealous? I don't give a flying fuck" the younger mumbled as he looked away.

Jealous? Was he? Now that he thinks back, he remembers how happy he was when he knew jimin didn't receive any gifts on valentine's Day. He didn't give a shit about others or even himself. Though jimin was sad about the fact, he was glad. He didn't bother to figure out why. But when an older noona gave jimin a chocolate he felt so bothered. On the way home He kept asking Jimin if he liked her till he said 'I don't like noonas' he have been oblivious but he does know somewhere in the mess, he was feeling jealousy. But he doesn't understand the calmness the hyungs have towards the idea. Jin hyung said he's jealous, does he know about his little crush? Even namjoon hyung have talked about 'working things out with jimin'. But they didn't seem disturbed by the fact that he likes their bandmate, a guy? He was confused.

He was pulled out of his thoughts by jin hyung again,"You know what you're feeling kook, don't try to deny it. Because the more you deny your feelings and push them away, the more chance for someone else to make him theirs. You don't have to answer me, but think what would you feel if jimin was to tell you he likes someone that's not you kook-ah?"

"Hyung!" Confusion was written all over his face. His eyes filled with fear of losing his beloved hyung. "I'm just telling, we can only support you till that. If jimin finds someone for himself, then I will tell you to stay the hell away from him."

His mind was an absolute mess of questions and his anxiety was reaching its peak. Even if he could see his hyung approach him he decided to walk on his own to the van.
He didn't bother to talk to anyone the whole day. It seemed like the words jin hyung spoke finally made sense. And the conclusion was : jeon jungkook was an idiot.

He spent rest of the day sighing and facepalming for the level of obliviousness he has as all the memories of hurting jimin and his idiotic moves kept playing in his mind.

Jimin have had enough of the younger. Since practice the latter have been in his own world. First he decided to join jin hyung in the kitchen but found their leader 'helping' him in the kitchen so he didn't bother disturbing them. He then went looking for taehyung who he found in yoongi's bed. Cuddled up to a sleeping yoongi. It's not like he didn't have choices. He could go to the gym and spend the evening there, but he needs to know what's wrong with jungkook. So he decides its time to pull him out of his little bubble.

"Jungkook-ah!" He was being squeezed on the couch by his hyung. "Hyung get up" he tried but jimin koala hugged him and snuggled closer to him, which made his heart go crazy. Now that he knows his little crush isn't one sided; That jimin have actually liked him all this while and have been pretty open about it still he was too blind to see it; he was afraid that the older would hear his crazy heartbeat if they stayed this close. But there was no mercy in jimin's hugs. He knew it and he usually loves it. But right now it's driving him insane.

He couldn't understand how his hyung managed to act so normal when he knew he liked him. He did his best to act normal.
"What is it hyung?" He tries.
"I'm bored~ come play with me" jimin's baby voice teased him. All he could do was gulp and stare at the older. No he wasn't scared. He wasn't clueless. Actually there's a LOT in his mind right now; things he want to do and show his hyung and he's worried if he started to do anything he would scare jimin away.

"Go find taetae hyung. I'm not in a mood for games" he tried to loosen the grip around his waist. "Noooooooooo~ i waited all day for kookie to notice me!" 'oh hell' jungkook was wondering how the fuck didn't he get it till now. The older have always talked to him like this. 'oblivious ass' he mentally slapped himself. He got up with a sigh.

"WHAT-!? OH MY GOD" hoseok's loud voice stilled everyone. "What?!" Jimin and jungkook asked in unison because the older was gawking at them. The duo in the kitchen chuckled at this little drama. "No i thought- aish.... nevermind I'm sorry"  he was about to leave when taehyung stopped him again. "Wait, isn't that the chocolate jiminie got today?" Hoseok calmly replied "yes, he gave it to me because he's on diet" "Then give it to ME! Jiminie you're mean!" He said before starting to chase hobi down for the chocolate.

The younger spoke as they were getting comfortable being cuddled up. "You gave it to him?" "Mm" was all jimin said. "You don't like it?" "Mm" "You don't like her?"  Jimin got up at this. He gave him a stare which screamed 'am i a joke to you' but he just sighed and patted his head. "No kookie. I don't like her"

He pulled jimin down to cuddle him again and hugged him close. 'you're too kind and patient with me hyung. I swear I won't let you go' he didn't have the courage to say it out loud. But he managed to mumble a "thank you" and kissed the older's forehead.
Little did they both know that the things were a little different between them. But they this is what they want. One was with doubts and questions. One was with hope. But they both want nothing but this.
