Undefined lust

Days after the incident in the woods were very dull. Astrid wasn't a good lair and Adeline knew that very good. After Kellam left Astrid came and started to rumble about how he found her, how the whole thing was a big unfortunate incident and how she never said anything about magic. Astrid was convincing Adeline that she must of heard them wrong and that she doesn't have to think about those events anymore. What was she trying to do? Convince Adeline she was stupid? She was her so called best friend and she was now clearly lying to her without a consideration for explanation.

And after that days were passing by in the dullest tone ever. Astrid started to avoid her and brought the avoidance to the point of switching her shift at work. At first Adeline was deeply hurt by her actions but then she realized she was going to take action in her own hands. This town was more strange than she ever thought and she had to discover what was it about. And speaking of the strange feeling in her stomach, it went away, sort of. But now there was a different feeling swirling around her entire body. For a few days she was trying to decipher what it was. It was lust. But for what was she longing for?

She tried to dismiss the thoughts about her powers but those dreams were coming back every night. Every night she was running to an unknown voice and the only thing sure about it was that it was somehow linked to magic. This was the night she woke up from her dream screaming again. Not even realizing that there is a wolf sleeping near her home. He was protecting her every night, not even realizing what was he doing. And he stood as he heard the scream, he felt the shiver that went through her body and after that every drop of cold sweat that formed on her face. But than Adeline stood and decided she needed a cup of tea to calm her down and she begun to prepare it. As the wolf felt she started to calm herself down, he laid back in the deep snow that was still covering his land.

That morning Adeline walked to the hospital. It became her routine and it soothed her after the nights she was having. It was snowing again this morning and Adeline was once again enjoying herself like the first time she had seen snow in this town. When she reached the hospital she was looking like a snowman and it took her awhile to clean the snow from everything she had on her body. As she was doing that someone bumped into her while cussing over and over again.

"For f*** sake. Why this f***ing sh** again. Oh I am sorry, I didn't see you there. This white misfortune blurred my vision. I f***ing hate it. Oh ups, I am also sorry for my language. I just really hate snow. Sorry again, I presume you couldn't care less how I feel about snow.  My name is Atrix by the way. I am a cardiologist at this hospital. Are you new?"

This scene was so funny to Adeline. His behavior towards the weather was on the five year old tantrum level, not a grown ass men level.

"Nice to meet you, although I must say your attitude towards snow is quite opposite from my, but besides that I am Adeline and yes I am new here."

"Well come on than, if you are a newbie and I gave you such an unpleasant presentation of myself,  that requires for coffee, my treat!" He said while pushing her towards the entrance. He was a little bit too friendly for a stranger, but his aura was so positive, besides the initial rant about the snow, Adeline couldn't deny a coffee was a good idea.

"Okay okay, I have just enough time for a quick coffee" Astrid said with a bright smile.

Atrix was a very pleasant company. He also came in this town searching for a new life, with a big love for little cozy and hospitable town. At the end of their encounter he promised to take her to some of the best places outside the town, when the spring comes and there is no snow of course.

After a busy day in her office admitting people she was very tired. At her lunch break she thought about this mornings events. Atrix was a very nice man, she was in fact very handsome too. But as she thought of that a spark of a guilty conscience hit her. Her mind was in a split second overwhelmed with pictures of the most beautiful eyes with treads of green and blue knited together. Why was she suddenly thinking about Kellam? This situation has nothing to do with him. And why is she having guilty conscience thinking about other men. It is not like her and Kellam were a thing. He was the most cold men she ever met, yet in fact he was the most handsome as well. Adeline stop it for goodness sake she thought and luckily her break was over so she had once again something to distract her.

After the shift, while she was changing Atrix came in her locker room trying to find her.

"Hey you, I was looking for you. I thought about how it was for me when I first came here. The people are very friendly and helpful but it hard to find someone to really talk to. So I thought I called you for drinks with my group of friends. I know them from work and they are a really good company. So? You in? I hope you are." Adeline was quite socked but happy. Since Astrid begun to avoid her she felt lonely, very lonely. And now someone is willing to call her for drink.

"Of course! I would love to if your friends don't mind. Where are we going?"

"The Fire and Ice Caffe, there is a little party going on there as we heard so it should be fun"

"I just need two more minutes and then I am ready. Will you give me a ride?"

"Yea sure, I am waiting at the front for you" Atrix walked out clearly content with himself.

After putting a little bit of mascara that she found in her purse, Adeline headed towards the front of the hospital and quickly after that they were heading towards the caffe.

There was a crowd and you could see it from the outside. And as soon as the two of them entered they were greeted from a group of people Atrix told her a little about. They were all very friendly and warm and the conversation started almost immediately.

Atrix decided to go order our drinks to the bar so Adeline decided to go with him to see what was tonights special offer. And as the were trying to break through the crowd she suddenly bumped at Atrix back. He evidently stopped and tensed and when Adeline looked what was making him stop in the middle of the crowd she was stunned.

Kellam was standing in front of Atrix and he was looking at him as he was going to rip him apart. Besides Kellam was Marcus who had a similar look on his face but he tried to drag Kellam out of the way. At last Kellam decided to move but before that he said something to Atrix, that made him tense even more, and left almost knocking a few people down.

"What was that? What did he say? Do you know him?" Adeline started to ask question after question.

"He and I have some disagreements from the past so I presume he hade a little too much to drink and that was that alcohol in action. Don't worry about it. He won't bother you if that's your concern. Now off to our quest of getting something to drink. Come."

But after a few drinks Adeline still couldn't forget the encounter she had. Little did she know Kellam was still thinking of it as well.
