Y/N POV:
After Jungkook left me in the room, I sat on the edge of the bed, my head in my hands. I didn't understand why they believed I was a part of anything. I had no idea what was going on. I was never involved in my parents' affairs. They avoided me as much as possible, never giving me the attention or affection I craved. As I sat there lost in my thoughts, the door opened and Jin stepped through carrying a tray covered with dishes.
Although he was one of the ones who had kidnapped me, Jin was also the one I feared the least. He insisted on bringing me meals even though I only picked at them enough to stop from starving to death. He was always gentle in his mannerisms and didn't seem like he fit in with the rest of the terrifying men, especially the creepy Jimin, the doe eyed Jungkook, and Yoongi, who scared me most of all.
Jin set the tray down on the bedside table and lifted the lids. There was a bowl with seasoned steak, mixed vegetables and noodles. There was also a small bowl of rice, a glass of something pretty and pink, a bottle of water and a frosted brownie. "Please eat a little more than you have been," Jin requested, his eyes and voice soft. "You'll make yourself sick if you don't eat."
I sighed and nodded my head. "Okay," I relented, picking up the fork and taking a bite of the steak. The delicious flavors burst on my tongue and I closed my eyes in delight. "Jin can you answer a question for me?"
Jin hesitated and nodded. "I will if I can," he replied, sitting on the edge of the bed next to me.
"What happened to Yoongi's brother? All I know is he apparently died during surgery," I questioned. "But what happened? Why am I here?"
Jin ran a hand through his blond hair. "I guess you might as well know since you're stuck here. Yoongi's brother, Jinyoung, was injured during a mission. He was brought into surgery, but never made it off the table. At first we were told that the injury was too severe and that is why he didn't make it, but we received information later that a vital artery had been cut and he had been left to just bleed out," Jin explained, his voice filled with grief.
My heart clenched in sympathy for the loss of their brother and friend, but what did it have to do with me? Why was I here? My eyes widened in horror as the realization hit me. "My father... he... he was the surgeon that night, wasn't her?" I asked, already knowing the answer to the question.
Jin nodded. "Yes. He was. Your father murdered Jinyoung. He is supposed to be saving lives, but he took one instead," he replied, his face contorted in anger.
"Why am I am here? What does it have to do with me?" I demanded, wanting to know the reasoning behind it all.
Jin eyed me in suspicion. "We want to know who ordered the kill. Who paid your father to do that?" he asked, his tone weary. "Why would someone want Jinyoung dead?"
I shook my head. "I don't know. I don't know anything. My parents hate me," I said to Jin. "They don't tell me anything." I looked down at the food in front of me. "It... it doesn't explain why I'm here."
Jin shrugged. "After the death of Jinyoung, your father offered to pay Yoongi off, but didn't have the money by the deadline. He offered you up instead. Told Yoongi he could have his daughter as payment for the balance. Yoongi refused, but then shortly after your father approached Yoongi about the deal, we received information that Jinyoung had been murdered," Jin explained. "So now Yoongi thinks you know something and hopes by kidnapping you, he will get his information. Either from you or your father."
I scoffed at Jin's words. "My parents would be thrilled to see me dead. It would be one less burden in their life that they had to worry about," I replied, my voice unable to conceal my anger at the shit situation I had been put in. From my parents to this, my life was a fucking shit show all along.
