Y/N POV:

Yoongi's words surprised me and my mouth dropped open in shock. "Why... why would your girlfriend want me dead?"

A sigh came from Yoongi at my words. "Soren is not my girlfriend. Never has been." He looked frustrated at the question and I remember what he told me about their night together.

"Then why would she want me dead? I should have known anyway since she stabbed me and left me to bleed out in the woods." I couldn't help the harsh tone that filled my voice. It wasn't Yoongi's fault that Soren was crazy.

Yoongi's eyes filled with regret as I spoke and I knew he was blaming himself for what happened in the woods. I don't know why he was choosing to torture himself like that. "I don't... I don't know. Maybe she thinks..."

His words trailing off, Yoongi looked down at his desk and I could clearly see that he didn't want to tell me what he was thinking. Although I wanted to know what was on his mind, I chose not to push it. If he really wanted me to know then he would tell me. "How do you know about her plans?"

"When we found the bank account that paid off your father to kill my brother, there was a deposit made only a week ago to a name we didn't recognize. Taehyung was able to get the man's information and we tracked him down. He was going to be the one to hurt you, but he was able to give her information about finding someone who could. And would."

I nodded my head, my mind racing with the thoughts of this crazy woman and what I could have possibly done to her to make her despise me this much. I barely knew who she was and it made me worry that someone could have this much hatred for me.

Yoongi reached out a hand to me again, gently taking mine, lending me his quiet comfort. "It's going to be okay. We're not going to let anyone hurt you. No one is going to get close enough to hurt you." Yoongi hesitated, but didn't let go of my hand. "Will... will you please trust me? Don't leave and trust me enough to protect you?"

The idea of staying in this house any longer scared me, but I could see from the look on his face that he was being sincere, that he would keep me safe. "Okay."

The look on Yoongi's face could only be described as relief. "If you stay, I promise you won't be confined to one room. You can roam the house and the grounds, but please don't leave the grounds. If you want to leave for any reason, please have one of with you at all times."

His requests sounded reasonable so I nodded in agreement. "I... I can do that." Yoongi gave me a soft smile and I knew my easy acceptance of his terms took a huge weight off of his shoulders. It didn't seem like it was asking too much. I wasn't naive; I knew the man had kidnapped me, but there was something about his words, his past, his experiences that made me want to trust him. Was it stupid? Sure. Part of me knew that it was, but I was usually pretty good about reading people. There was something about Yoongi and the rest of the guys that was telling me that they really weren't a threat. At least not in the way I had expected them to be.

Yoongi nodded then stood up. "If... if you don't mind, I am going to move you back to the room you were originally in. Although I don't mind you sleeping in my room, I'm sure you would want your own space. We... we don't know how long you're going to be here."

"That's fine. I'm sure you and Jimin both want your rooms back anyways." I didn't miss the way Yoongi's eyes narrowed at the mention of the other man, but they quickly cleared. Was there something going on that I didn't know about? The last thing I needed was Yoongi getting angry with me. Or Jimin. I had really started to trust Jimin and I didn't want anything to come in the middle of that.

"Okay. Please feel free to explore the house. I'm sure you're tired of being only in one place. There's a pool out back, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea with the stitches. Maybe wait a little while longer?"
