Chapter 2

After the first class of the day, I met Lina in the cafeteria for a quick coffee. I told her about the strange blonde man in my first class. Just as I was describing him, he entered the cafeteria with an equally handsome man with black hair.

I pointed him out. "That's him, Lina," I whispered. Lina whipped around and I smacked her arm. "Do you have to be so obvious?"

Lina smiled. "Oh the guy with the blond hair is Kim Namjoon. He's a medical student. And the cutie with him is Kim Taehyung. He's in the art department."

I raised an eyebrow. "How do you know that?" I asked.

Lina laughed out loud. "Girl I make it my business to know every handsome man on this campus," she said in a conspiratorial whisper.

"How come I've never seen him before?" I questioned.

"He just transferred in this week. He came from another university and is said to be a genius," she explained.

"Why aren't you setting me up with one of those men?" I said jokingly.

Lina patted my hand. "Oh honey. I would if I could. Namjoon and Taehyung haven't been seen with a girl since they arrived here. Sure they have their sidepieces, but no actual relationships. They don't even talk to girls outside of the bedroom. You're better than that."

I sighed. Figures the most handsome men would only be looking for easy lays. Sorry but no thanks. That is not me.

Lina's mouth dropped open and her eyes filled with surprise. I started to ask her what was going on when I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I turned to see the Kim Namjoon standing behind me.

"YN, right?" he asked, a smile on his face. I almost melted into a puddle of goo at the dimples that appeared.

I nodded my head, unable to find my voice.

"You're in my 8:15 class. I thought I recognized you," Namjoon said smoothly. "Would you be interested in getting coffee today?"

I didn't want to turn him down, but I couldn't stand up my blind date either. "Ummm thanks, but I already have plans."

Namjoon gave me another smile. "Another time then?" he asked, turning away and sitting a few tables away with Taehyung.

Lina smacked my arm. "Girl cancel your date and take that man up on his offer."

I shook my head. "I'm not going to do that. You set up this date and I'm not going to cancel on him last minute. Plus I'm not interested in being a side piece, as you so nicely put it."

Lina shook her head. "I get it. I do. But you just turned down a date with one of the most handsome men in the school."

I turned my head to the side and noticed that both Namjoon and Taehyung were staring at me. I felt the heat burn across my cheeks. Yeah they were extremely handsome but I didn't want to be just another notch in someone's bedpost. Men like that bragged about their conquests. I definitely did not want to be added to that list.

I shook my head to clear my thoughts. "Tell me more about this blind date," I said as we stood and headed out of the cafeteria.

"His name is Jackson. He's an engineering major, which is how I met him. He's tall, blond and so cute!" she squealed.

"How does he know about me?" I asked suspiciously.

Lina shrugged. "He said he saw you with me and thought you were pretty. Said he wanted to get to know you."
