Angel (Yoongi x Reader)

Chapter 22

Y/N POV:

As I laid there in Jimin's arms, I felt oddly safe with the silver haired man who I had seen plunge a knife into a man's shoulder and not give a second thought about it.  There was something about Jimin that made me feel safer and I didn't know why.  Between him and Yoongi, he was the one who scared me the least.  When he shouted out, I was sure he was angry at me, but when he turned his attention back to me, his eyes were soft, gentle and I knew instantly the fury in his eyes was towards Soren, not me. 

Yoongi was in the room behind me and I could hear him talking quietly to Jimin.  Apparently some money they were trying to locate had been bounced around so many times they couldn't find it anymore. 

"Jimin, she needs to eat something so I can give her some medicine.  I'm sure she must be in pain." Jin's voice was soothing and tender as he spoke up, interrupting their conversation, and for a moment I felt a rush of guilt wash over me at the way I had treated the man who was always so kind to me.

At Jin's words, I shifted in Jimin's arms and felt a stinging pain in my side.  It was where I knew Soren had stabbed me.  That crazy bitch.  I couldn't believe I had trusted her, couldn't believe I had allowed myself to believe that she was actually going to help me.  She was just trying to get me away from her boyfriend.   I let out a hiss at the pain and Jimin ran a hand down my back.  "Jin's right my darling.  You need to eat something.  Can you sit up for me?"

I moved slowly, trying to pull myself from Jimin's arms, but he wrapped an arm around my shoulder, keeping me close to him then helped me to slowly sit up.  The pain in my side bloomed from a sting to a burn and I felt the tears prick the corners of my eyes.  Jin rushed forward, reaching out a hand to me.  "Slowly honey.  Don't try to move too quickly."

Jin uncovered the dishes and once again I was amazed at the selection of food in front of me.  This time it was fluffy pancakes, strips of crisp bacon, and a dish of fresh fruit.  There was a little bowl of what looked to be fresh whipped cream, warm syrup, a glass of juice, and a cup of coffee.  "Hopefully it stayed warm.  You slept for a little bit after the panic attack."

I turned to Jimin in question and he nodded.  "Go ahead and eat.  The medicine Jin brought you is pretty strong and you don't want to take it on an empty stomach."

I hesitantly reached out for the fork with shaking hands, taking tiny bites of the food, my empty stomach protesting at the lack of food.  After eating a couple of bites, I set the fork down, not wanting to eat anymore.  I could see Yoongi out of the corner of my eye and his presence was making me nervous. 

Jin lifted the cup of coffee, helping me to take a drink.  I could see the worry in his eyes, but I tried to ignore it.  Why would he be so worried about me?  He handed me two pills then a bottle of water.  "Please take these.  They will help with the pain that I know you must be feeling right now."

"Why... why are you being so nice to me?" I asked, my voice soft. 

Jin's eyes saddened.  "Why wouldn't I be nice to you?  What happened sweetie?"

"Th-that girl, his girlfriend, said you were planning on killing me." I hesitantly turned my gaze to Yoongi, worried about what I would see in his pretty eyes.  They were filled with anger and I unconsciously moved closer to Jimin, not wanting to trust him, but for the moment having no choice.

Jimin pulled me closer, the arm around my shoulders tightening.  "Don't trust anything that crazy bitch says.  Nothing."  Jimin's voice was soft but stern.  "Do you hear me?"

I nodded my head quickly, not wanting to anger him and cast my gaze down at the comforter.  "Yes.  I'm... I'm sorry."

Sighing, Jimin reached a hand to my chin and directed my eyes back up to him.  "I'm not angry with you.  I... I just want you to trust me, trust us.  We're not going to hurt you.  There are some things we've found out lately that we... we didn't know."
