Y/N POV:
"No!"
"Come on Y/N. Just a little taste."
"No! It's too bitter."
"Try it. I promise you'll like it."
I shook my head, refusing the iced Americano that Hoseok was holding out for me to try. "I don't like black coffee. It's gross."
Hoseok shook his head then took a sip of his coffee. "You must like all those pretty drinks with whipped cream and stuff like that."
Taking a sip of my vanilla bean Frappuccino, I gave him a grin. "Like this one, right here? I sure do." I was surprised that I was enjoying myself as much as I was. Hoseok and Taehyung had taken me to a little coffee shop about 20 minutes away, a cute little place I had never been to before. We had spent the last half hour laughing and joking as they told me stories about things they had done when they first met.
"Are you sure you don't want to try it?" Hoseok held out his cup again and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm positive."
Taehyung took a sip of his hot chocolate and grinned at me, leaning forward as though he were expecting to hear something amazing. "So tell us something about you that we don't know."
"S-something you don't know?" I couldn't help the stammer in my voice, knowing that they knew almost everything about me. "Um... I... I don't know." These were the conversations I hated the most, the ones where people tried to get to know me, made me feel important but me knowing deep down it was all fake, all a ruse to gain my trust. Unfortunately I had always been a little naïve, wanting to believe the best of people but ultimately being completely let down in the end.
"Yeah Y/N. What is something we don't know about you? Like your favorite animal?" Hoseok's eyes were full of interest and it looked like it was real, like he really cared.
"Um... I like... I like all animals, but cats are my f-favorite." I had always wanted a cat, but never trusted my mother to not harm one of them. After the incident with the dog, I never brought another animal home or even asked for one.
Taehyung grinned at my words. "Oh... that's Jiminie's favorite too! He loves cats! Maybe we can convince Yoongi to get a cat. I promise Yeontan won't bother it."
I shook my head. "No. Please. Don't ask him to do that. I'm... it's okay." The thought of them asking Yoongi for anything for me made me panic. Although I was starting to trust him and understand why he did what he did, he still made me nervous.
Reaching over and taking my hand, Hoseok squeezed it gently. "It's okay. Don't worry. We won't say anything." I didn't miss the look that passed between the two of them, but chose to ignore it instead of commenting on it.
"What's your favorite flower?" This question came from Taehyung and I gave him a smile.
"I really like lilies. The... the Stargazers are my favorite. They're so pretty." As we continued to sit there, the questions continued to pour out, the two of them wanting to know everything from my favorite color to my favorite foods to my favorite television show. Although I didn't want to get my hopes up, it seemed as though these two were genuinely interested in whom I was. It was something that hadn't happened to me in a long time, since my relationship with Chase the first year of college. I didn't count my ex-fiancé because he never gave a damn about me. That much was clear from the beginning.
"Can... can you tell us about when you were young?" Hoseok's question was hesitant and I knew he didn't want to bring up bad memories with my lousy parents.
