Although I remember it all like it was yesterday, it really began around the summer of 2010.

I had met him along with the rest of the group, Niall, Zayn and Liam. In 2010, we got put in a band together called One Direction. Evidently, the band brought us all really close together, while touring the world and making music for months. It's interesting to know nothing but a persons last name, but once put in the same situation, you learn them like the back of your hand. The weeks went by quicker than I'd ever imagined. I suddenly went from admiring him, to adoring him, and then, well, wanting to adore him.

I do, however, have the memories. The warm nights out on the grass, falling asleep onto his arms as the world went dim. When he used to pick me up, and throw me in the community pool downstairs. Him running away as I tried to pull him into the water.

He would call me Haz, and the sweet sound of his voice made me want to fall in love with him all over again. He was my muse. My love. I adored him so, so much.

Those nights when he was the only boy in the world- my boy- felt like they happened only months ago. But now, as I lay on my couch, in my love-filled Paris home writing this this, the last ten years just comes flooding back to me. The happiness, the laughter, the smiles. But also the sadness, and anger, while learning about the world around us.

Although I do miss those days, the sorrow that many of them brought will still haunt me for the rest of my life. The happiness and laughter was great. His beautiful smile being pressed into mine, it was great. But the sadness and sorrow, must be told as a part of it. If not for the hurt, we would not have the same story today that I am very proud to tell you. I would not have learned the skill of patience that I did.

Because in the blink of an eye, love can be taken away from you. Years and years of breaking down your walls for someone can just be swept away.

The test of our patience, started around 2012. Louis and I were living in a little flat called Princess Park, and we had been for almost two years already. The way the stars shone over that apartment at night, wow. What I would do to see those stars, just once more.
