The crown of thorns,
Around my heart,
I know I should have removed,
But to do so,
I lovingly refuse.
That I could never do.
To remove this crown of thorns,
Would leave a huge scar,
Because this crown of thorns,
Has become a part of my heart,
This crown of thorns is not new,
Though recently added to,
Has made my heart begin to bleed,
To remove this crown of thorns,
Would be a mistake,
Because this crown of thorns,
Piece by piece,
Was left by people like you.
