"Are you ready?"
James had asked Remus, Remus was not ready even though that was ten minutes ago. That year Hogwarts would be hosting the triwizard tournement and the other two schools would be arriving that day. Remus didn't love his life, but, at least he had three great friends: James Potter, peter pettigrew and Lily Evans. He'd always felt that someone was missing however. He hadn't had the best past, would be an understatement, he had been bitten by fenrir greyback when he was three and as much as his friends wanted to do something they couldn't think of anything. He had had fun with his friends, they made a map showing who was where in Hogwarts - it didnt look amazing but it worked - James dragged peter into elaborate pranks but a lot of the time it didn't go to plan. Remus grabbed his oversized sweatshirt and ran down to the commonroom where James and peter were waiting for him. "Took you long enough." laughed James as the three of them ran down to the great hall to be in time for the feast.

"Are you ready!?"
it wasn't James, the tone wasn't as nice, also it was in France... and yesterday. it was Sirius' mother yelling at him from downstairs where Regulus was already there. Sirius was currently on a flying house going to a school that doesn't exist. Sirius didn't love his life, but, at least he had his brother: Regulus Black. He'd always knew something was missing however. He had tried having fun, he tried pranking people but they barely worked he normally needed at least three other people. He hadn't had the best past, also a bit of an understatement, he was ten when his family moved to France, a seer had told his parents he'd be sorted into Gryffindor and for that his parents hated him, tortured him, for something he hadn't done, he didn't have friends, he tried once or twice but it never worked. He put on the floaty peacock blue cloak he was forced to wear everyday with his uniform. At least theres probably gonna be some cute guys, he thought staying positive. Him and his brother had both been forced to enter the tournament, Sirius would've anyway but he wasn't so sure about Regulus who had came into his compartment shaking.

Now would be a good to time to tell you a bit about these opposite boys. Sirius was athletic, acrobatic and a troublemaker. Remus however was more reserved, a bookworm and wasn't too keen on braking rules, occasionally he joined in on one or two of James' plots. Remus had always felt broken, he was quiet about it so no one would ask questions and thought he was ok, he just wanted to be love, although, he thought, who'd love a monster. Sirius had always felt different, he was loud about it so people wouldn't ask questions and thought he was ok, he just wanted to fit in, although, he thought, who'd want to be friends with a disappointment. Both boys however, though one didn't know it, liked boys. When Sirius was eleven he hadn't had a proper awakening but a long drawn out period of confusion and pain before he knew he was gay. Remus didn't know yet but he was bisexual, he had occasionaly wondered why so many people had 'crushes' so he decided to pretend he had one on someone but never told anyone who because honestly he didn't know.

Little did these boys know, as cringy as it sounded, their dreams would come true, just not how they expected. Remus would get love, Sirius would get friends and James who is slightly unrelated right now but still, he got a partner and a wingman.
