Chapter 17: Memories

Nobody's POV:

The team were desperate to help get Piper's memory back, so they all stayed at the hospital with her, for the rest of the day.

The next day was Saturday and everyone came to the hospital bright and early with different items to help jog her memory.

"Hey Piper, do you remember this?" Finn asked as he began to do big fish little fish, cardboard box, as Piper laughed. "Teach me how to do that!" She exclaimed happily.

It hurt Finn that Piper didn't remember big fish, little fish but he was ecstatic that she wanted to learn it again. After a while, she finally got the hang of it, and couldn't stop laughing as she did it.

"Ooh! My turn!" Ozzy cried out, as he pulled out a disc and two controllers. "Ugh, don't tell me." Kenzie groaned as Ozzy, Finn, Henry and Kingston nodded their heads eagerly. "Yup, legions of lasers! You're going to love this Piper." He replied, as he set the game up on the tv, with help from the nurse.

Piper slowly got the hang of how to play the game but she was pretty bad at it. "Piper, just click this button and hide in the trashcan, then-" Henry went on, teaching Piper how to beat the level.

"Wow, I did it! Thanks, Hen!" Piper exclaimed as everyone looked at her in shock, especially Henry who was smiling widely. "Piper, you just called me by my nickname. Do you maybe remember me now?" Henry asked, hopefully.

"You told me your name, silly!" She answered, laughing before going back to the game. "No, none of us told her our names apart from James." Kingston whispered as Piper obliviously carried on playing her game. "Just keep going, it seems to be working." James said to them.

Richelle glanced at Piper, who was cheering as she got eaten by the monster in the game. It made Richelle laugh, that Piper didn't know that she just lost the entire level.

Richelle wondered back to the time that she first met Piper and all the memories that the two had made together. It saddened her to think that her best friend would never remember her again.

Finn gazed at Piper who was now making friendship bracelets with the rest of the team. He was crushed that Piper didn't remember him, considering how long it took for her to finally get used to him being around.

They had gotten really close and although there was nothing romantic between him and Piper, he still care a lot about her.

He thought about all the moments and memories he had with her and all the times they had laughed together, all the movies they had watched together and all the Hotel Dystopia marathons they had with each other. It hurt to know that she wouldn't remember those.
