"Look at all the trees in the light
They are growing all in your mind in it
All in your mind in it
Look at all the leaves in the fire
They are burning all in your mind in it
All in your mind"

"I'm so glad to have you back sweetheart. The shop's been relatively steady but I'm happy to have you back here with me. It must've been some flu you had," Kim lovingly says, her eyes focused on my side profile as I stand behind the counter, staring out the film shop window.

I haven't been able to focus much today and it's only the start of my shift. My mind has been too occupied with Harry and how he's doing, more importantly, that how in the next hour he'll be joining his heinous stepfather for lunch.

"You sure you're feeling alright to be here today, honey?" Kim frowns as I break away from staring out at the busy sidewalk, barely listening to her and feeling bad for being so zoned out. I've taken off more than enough days these past couple of months and I'm starting to wonder why Kim's kept me around this long. Surely she's starting to regret hiring me at this point.

"Uh, yeah. I'm sorry, Kim," I shake my head, trying to clear my head. "I'm just going to go check on a customer's prints and make sure they're developing alright," I excuse myself, not missing the concerned look on Kim's face as she pats my shoulder. Giving her a small smile, I throw my apron on before disappearing into the darkroom, blinking a few times to steady my eyes.

I head over to the hanging prints on the line and examine the squares underneath the red light. They've been out of the chemicals for about an hour now and should be ready for pickup sometime this afternoon. I touch one of the photos and squint to see two girls in a field surrounded by wildflowers. One girl has her arms raised above her like a ballerina while the other has her arms wrapped around the other's torso. Grins paint their faces as they appear to be in mid-laugh.

My heart swells a bit as I think of Judy and how much these two strangers remind me of us. Guilt rushes over me as I begin to feel bad about blowing up on her a week ago. I still haven't seen her even though I stopped by the apartment before heading to work this morning. After waking up at Harry's and trying to squirm my way out of his death grip as he slept against me, I gathered my things and took a cab to our apartment.

Walking in I expected to be confronted by Judy but was met with a messy and quiet apartment, realizing she had already headed for class. I pushed back the whole apology speech that I had come up with on the cab ride over and instead, I picked up the apartment. Since I was away for a few days and Judy is always the messy kind, I knew the apartment was bound to look like a tornado blew through.

I showered and dressed afterward, wishing that I could trade in my own clothes for Harry's sweatpants and sweatshirt. I let my hair air dry as I slipped on a pair of comfy teal corduroys and a teal and tan sweater to match, lacing up my old skool vans to complete the look. I felt rather comfy and warm, but somehow Harry's clothes that I wore for those few days seemed to be a lot cozier.
