Nova

Shit.

I don't even want to turn around right now. I'm caught and he knows it. Stupid me for being too curious and trying to entertain myself while my best friends have their own fun downstairs.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

I hear the wood floor creaking under his shoes as he strides towards me. I instantly feel goosebumps scatter my arms as his warm breath warms my cold skin.

"What are you doing up here? Being nosy I see?" I gulp, feeling my spine tingle while his lips are inches away from my ear. I can feel his eyes on me, looking me up and down.

"I-"

"Don't start, you're already caught," he cuts me off before grabbing my wrist and pulling me to shamefully face him.

The light from the lamp illuminates the left side of finely chiseled face, shadowing the right side perfectly. He looks more intimidating right now. His hand is still gripped around my wrist, holding on tightly.

"Oh, Nova," he clicks his tongue while shaking his down at me. "What ever will I do with you?" his eyes squint as his cherry lips roll into a smirk.

I feel my legs starting to feel weak and it's almost like all of the air in my lungs has vanished. I just stare up at him, getting lost in his intimidating eyes.

Does he know?

Does he know he's able to put me under a spell with just one look?

"I-I didn't mean to pry..or be nosy..I-"

"...You what?" he interrupts me again while looking down at me, seeming more cold compared to our encounter earlier today. I stare up at him with doe-like eyes, not knowing what to say. He senses this and continues, "Let me answer that for you, sweetheart. You were being stupid," he responds while tightening his latch on my wrist.

I wince as his fingers press against my skin, feeling my cheeks start to warm under my mask. Harry looks at me through his curled hair as it dangles in his face.

"I'll have to punish you," he states before letting go of my limp wrist. I instantly rub it with my other hand, feeling like all the blood has stopped circulating there.

He steps back from me and pushes his long fingers through his hair before dipping both hands in his black coat pocket.

"Not tonight though, I'm already too busy," he says while clenching his jaw. Harry stares at me for a few more seconds, looking like he doesn't know what to do with me. "So, go. Get out of here and do not come back in here," he spits while pointing to the door that I foolishly opened.

His words come off harsh and there's nothing cheery about him. Maybe some of the drugs wore off from earlier. Then again, I did snoop when I shouldn't have. I should have just left my ass downstairs and waited for Judy or Mason to find me. I should've just danced and acted normal. But here I am instead. I practically made myself a target for Harry.

I walk to the door that I once came through, but pause before turning and looking over my shoulder. Harry is facing the desk, looking down at the papers that lay strewed across the surface. His shoulders look tense, and I know I'm about to make matters worse, but I don't care.

"If you didn't want anyone coming up here maybe you should've blocked off the stairs and locked the door," I say, finding a surge of confidence in me.
