A Girl

My phone fell to the ground, which then landed upright. Phew. There was no scratches visible that the human eye could see. My roommate came in cussing out his mom on the phone.His name was Stephen. He had jet black hair, ocean eyes, and a horrible personality. "Hey Steph, what's going on?" I ask. He lets out a loud sigh, while putting the phone on a counter. "Some family issues,man," he states.  Nothing new for him. "Hey Karl, I'm going to sleep now, but don't stay up late again," he mutters. I give him a thumbs up and get a smirk as a reward.  Once he walks out, I get on my computer. Sapnap's love or host was tonight and I don't want to miss it. He might actually find love, be heartbroken, or just meet a new friend.  Scrolling through my discord conversations, I tap on Sap's profile. Sapnap texted me saying to facetime him. I clicked on the button and waited for him to pick up. Once he answered, I examine what he is wearing. Just a plain black shirt. My eyes wander to his face, and I was focused on his lips. I wonder how it would feel like to put mine on his, to be underneath him, to- wait...what? My brain is thinking some weird stuff. He gets on love or host and Austin explains how it works. One by one girls disappear from the screen. It all came down to Emily or Maddie(I will not be basing this off the real love or host). "So who is it going to be?" Austin asked. He texts me and asks, "Hey, who do you think I should pick?" I wanted to tell him no one, but I wouldn't be a good friend. My heart fell,my vision got blurry, and I felt empty. I text back telling him to go with what your heart wants. "I want...," Sap starts, pausing to add dramatic effect. "Maddie," he finishes. Maddie and him talk for awhile afterwards. He has no time for me now.  I wished I didn't hear who he choose. I wasn't jealous, but I didn't want him to be with anyone else except me. Nothing big was in my way. It was just a girl.
