Alfred walks up, a pot of tea and two miniature mugs in hand, he hands one to Bruce. "So, you say you have no way of reconnecting with this Aquaman." Alfred says to Bruce. " I put a tracking device in his coat. He left without it. It may, in fact, not have been his coat. Those squares, from Luthor's notes...I think they must be containers of some kind." Bruce tells Alfred. "Of what?" Alfred asks. " I don't know. Money, power. Something worth starting a war over." Bruce says. " Well, we had luck with one person on the team list..." Alfred says and presses a touch screen on the table and a wall of screens drops down from the opposite wall. "Barry Allen, of Central City. He's completely off the grid. Squatting, I think. Moves suddenly and often." Alfred tells Bruce. "Disappearing act?" Bruce asks. "But he does visit his father. In prison. For murdering his mother." Alfred says. "Jesus!" Bruce says. "Young Barry always protested his father's innocence. But he was nine and nobody listened to him." Alfred says. "We have somebody at the prison?" Bruce asks. "Oh, yeah. We'll find the address." Alfred says. Bruce sets his mug down, "What about, uh...Diana?" Bruce asks. "Well, you have her number," Alfred says. "You could've called her," Bruce tells Alfred. " Oh, perhaps I should fly to Paris with a handwritten note? "Will you be Bruce's teammate? Check: Yes or No"." Alfred says. "I'm only interested in her skill set," Bruce says. "Oh, I'm sure you are," Alfred says. "Can we?" Bruce asks. "Ah, well, facial recognition's a bit dodgy on this one. But it's got a partial match. A Victor Stone. Genius I.Q., a football scholarship to GCU... And deceased." Alfred says. " Figures. Fairy tales and ghost stories." Bruce says. "One misses the days when one's biggest concerns were exploding wind-up penguins," Alfred says. "The simple life," Bruce says as he sits across from Alfred. "I don't recognize this world," Alfred says. " I don't have to recognize it. I just have to save it." Bruce says, before continuing. "Have we had any luck with Valery?" Bruce asks Alfred. "Miss. Kent turned down your offer, if I remember correctly her exact words were 'Tell Bruce he can go to hell.'" Alfred says to Bruce. "I'll get through to her."
