It's been roughly four months since Valery went on a rampage, and in fear of hurting Arthur again, she hasn't seen him. But she has had her fair share of Mera's rage with many visits from her. Clark has been staying with Valery since last month when nobody could contact her. "You need to go see him again, Val." "Clark, I don't want to hurt him." "But you're hurting yourself by not being with him." Valery sighs laying her head on his shoulder as Mera burst into Valery's house again. The loud bang alerts the Super Siblings, they fly to the noise. "Who are you, what do you want?" Clark asks, as he and Valery land. "Clark, this is Mera." "So you're the one who's been making my sister's life a living hell." Mera smiles, "She stole Arthur from me, I'm supposed to be Queen of Atlantis!" "If it's a fight you want, we'll give you one," Clark says defensively. "You and me, by the water, tonight. Come alone." Valery nods, "Deal."

Later that night Valery meets Mera by the water as planned. "Nothing you do can hurt me, Mera." Mera smiles, "We'll see about that, Valery." Mera uses the water to her advantage and tries to drown Valery, failing. Valery flies from the water and lands, fighting with Mera. "Not very good at fighting hand-to-hand, huh." "Ugh!" Mera groans and fights back. "Whoa, better than I thought," Valery whispers. Within minutes Valery is on the ground with a Trident pointed at her neck. Valery can feel herself becoming weaker, "Kryptonite...how did you get it?" "Save your energy, you're gonna need it for what is going to happen next." Valery shakes her head, tears welling up in her eyes, "Please, you don't have to do this." "I do, he'll never love me with you in the picture." "And he'll never forgive you for killing me either," Valery says nearly breathless. Mera thinks momentarily before pulling the Trident away from Valery's neck. Valery lays on the ground, barely able to sit up before she's met with a Kryptonite Trident in her abdomen, screaming in agony as Mera rips Trident from Valery's abdomen. Clark can hear his sister's scream for miles and flies off faster than a speeding bullet after her, landing by Valery's side he begins to feel weaker by the moment. "The Trident you bear, it's made of Kryptonite," Clark says looking at Mera, then back to Valery. "Val, it's okay, you can pull through this." As Clark is talking to Valery, Arthur emerges quickly from the water. "Valery!" Arthur rushes to Valery's side. "She's dying...we both are. The Kryptonite Trident..." Clark says breathlessly. Arthur turns to Mera on a dime snatching the Trident from her grasp and throwing it into the ocean, getting as far away from the Super Sibling as possible. Clark looks up at Arthur, "Arthur, I must fly to space, I have to absorb the sun's light." "You can't leave, you're too weak." Arthur kneels back beside Valery and uses the Waterbarer Hand on her, healing Valery. "She isn't dying anymore, but she's very weak. Take her with you, I can't lose her..." Clark nods scooping Valery up in his arms and flies into the sky.

"Have you lost your aquatic mind?! You could have killed her, you nearly killed both of them!" "She doesn't deserve you, Arthur. I should rule beside you as your Queen, that throne should be mine." "Mera, she doesn't want the throne, you will rule beside me as Queen, but you won't be my Queen. You'll be Atlantis' Queen and you will run every single thing you do by me, and don't try getting Valery banned from Atlantis." "She will not be your Queen!! You are King of Atlantis, not King of Krypton! You can't have a Kryptonian as a Queen, she can't survive forever in waters that deep!" "That doesn't give you a right to kill her, Mera!!" "Well, I have to get her out of your life somehow!" "Killing her isn't the answer, Mera!! You think if you kill her I would love you?!" Mera nods. "No, it wouldn't, I would abhor you and I would make sure you are exiled and sent to the trenches!" "She's got you brainwashed, she's not even Atlantean, Arthur!" "I'm not full Atlantean, but you don't seem to have a problem with that!" "I love you, that's why I don't care if you're half-human!" "But you have a problem with Valery, who isn't by any means human at all, aside from her looks." "She's a humanoid, Arthur. She's an alien, they both are. People like that don't deserve to be in our world." "Oh, so, it's your world, they're just living in it?" "It is my world and they're not living in it, they crashed it. She's crashed my world for Twenty-Four years." "You've only known her a year! Hell, I've only known her a year!" "A year, it's not long enough to love someone!" Before Arthur can speak the Super Siblings land in front of Arthur. Valery grabs Mera by the throat, lifting her into the air. "You've made my life a living hell, you just can't face that you're jealous!" "Valery," Arthur says calmly. "Just let her go, she's at her strongest right now. She won't listen to anyone, not even me." Clark informs Arthur. Mera smiles, "You're so pathetic, you know that? Even at your strongest, you can't beat me!" Valery begins to feel weak again, more Kryptonite. Mera pushes it closer to Valery, who's crawling backward from her. Arthur is quick to react and destroys the Kryptonite with his Trident, he grabs Mera throwing her into the water. With his Trident pointed at Mera, Arthur speaks. "I will personally decapitate you myself, so keep pressing your luck." Mera, scared, swims back down to Atlantis. By this time Clark and Valery are back to their feet, sort of. Valery leans on Clark for support having more exposure to the Kryptonite than he did, the second time. Arthur turns towards the Super Siblings, Valery with fear in her eyes. "Arthur...I've never seen you like that." "I'm sorry, I'm just tired of her hatred towards you." Valery nods. "I'm gonna take her home, you're welcome to stop by," Clark says before the two fly off.
