Arthur grunts and throws something against the wall, causing some of the loose wire to crackle and zap. "Don't do that," Bruce says. Diana sharpens her sword. "We just got our asses handed to us. And Steppenwolf has got the third Box," Arthur says, walking away from Bruce. "So we find them. If the Boxes are even close to each other, there's going to be some kind of energy surge," Diana says. "And Steppenwolf's gonna be keeping them somewhere where they don't read. No internet, no satellite coverage," Victor says. "Well, that narrows it down," Bruce says. "Not enough," Victor says. "So, you can't find them. Or maybe you don't want to," Arthur says walking up behind Victor. Diana sharpens her sword. Victor forms a Repulsor as he turns towards Arthur. "Arthur," Bruce says. "Yeah, that was a great way to get rid of Superman," Arthur says. "Man, I'm not doing this on purpose," Victor says. "Right. 'Cause, you can't control the machine," Arthur says. "Uh, so, is this a bad time to bring up my blood sugar?" Barry questions. Arthur looks at Barry and walks away from Cyborg. Cyborg's Repulsor disappears and his metal hand reappears. "Very hungry." Barry states. Diana walks over to Victor, putting her hand on his upper arm, he turns and looks at her. "Victor. You can find the Boxes. You share their energy. I know it's frightening, but if you go under, I promise, we will pull you back out" Diana says to Victor, reassuring him. Victor looks at Arthur then back to Diana, "Just keep the Little Merman away from me while I work," He says. "Barry, go find Alfred in the pantry. Then come back, get online. Everybody checks everybody else's work." Bruce says walking over to Arthur. "Listen. [Clears throat] I was wondering if you could a, you know, a feeler. Like, aquatic. You know. I mean, do you talk to fish?" Bruce asks, stammering his words. "The water does the talking," Arthur says. "Of course." "If the current comes in strange, it might point the way," Arthur says. "Okay," Bruce says, walking away from Arthur, who walks the other direction.
At the farm, Clark stand in the field as the wind blows the leaves of the Corn Stalks, he feels the leaves of one of them as he lets it glide through his fingertips. Lois walks up behind Clark, watching him. Clark turns to look at her. "Are you okay? You brought us here, but you've hardly spent a minute in the house." "I know. It's...Just got out of a wooden box." "What was it like? [Walks towards Clark] Coming back?" "Itchy." Lois smiles. "I mean, honestly, weird in so many ways. But mostly just—" Lois cuts Clark off, "I wasn't strong. I didn't, um...You would've been very disappointed in me. [Clark walks towards Lois] I wasn't Lois Lane, the dedicated reporter. I just..." "It's okay, [Clark lifts her chin] I'm the idiot who left. But I'm back now. And I'm gonna make things right." Clark and Lois share a kiss then hug each other. Clark smiles, still hugging Lois, "Ah. You called mom." "Of course," Lois says. "Thank you," Clark says pulling away from the hug. "I was hoping it was gonna take you longer to recover," Lois says. "Why?" Lois looks at Clark, "Because now I have to send you away." Clark looks at Lois for a moment, "Bruce." He looks to the side at the sky. "He needs you. Date of the world, I think that's the deal. He was pretty tense," Lois says. "Well, I guess I do owe him one," Clark says. Lois chuckles, "Right. But no dying. And I get the exclusive." Clark smiles and nods, "Yes ma'am." Martha pulls up in her truck and gets out, shutting the door. Clark walks toward Martha, as Martha does the same. Martha covers her mouth, whimpering, before place both on Clark's face. Clark puts both his hands on Martha's upper arms. "Are you really you?" Martha asks. Clark smiles while nodding,
"I'm really me, Ma." "Oh," Martha gasps and the two embrace each other.Diana walks over to Cyborg who's searching the Globe for Steppenwolf, "Is Steppenwolf there?" She asks. "Just a minute," Cyborg says, his voice distorted, before continuing with his normal voice. "Sorry. It's Porzenov. In Northern Russia." "The Nuclear Plant. Had a meltdown 30 years ago." "Uh-huh. There have been some attempts to resettle nearby. But it looks like really rough sledding. Who picks this place to put down roots?" Barry asks. "People that have been locked out of everywhere else," Arthur says. "The Earth starts changing, it'll hit them first," Victor says. "How long have we got?" Bruce asks. "A few hours," Victor says. "Transport won't fly that fast," Bruce says. "It will for me," Victor says.
The team rise from the waters as an aircraft, The Flying Fox lowers down opening its door, the team climbs aboard and the door shuts and they leave. On The Flying Fox Barry and Diana are both standing on either side of the Batmobile, Arthur sits on the front of the Batmobile, and Valery leans against the front of it. Bruce walks up to Victor as he explains the Mother Boxes. "The Unity brings all three boxes together in perfect sync. Its power builds until it can't be contained. But if I can cause a delay between each box, even for a nanosecond, its energy will cascade, form a loop." "They'll feed on each other," Bruce says. "And that's it? We just pull them apart? No-fuss, no muss?" Barry asks. "Separating the boxes is still gonna cause a massive surge. I have to be there. But you guys should think about getting clear," Victor says. "We're with you till it's done," Diana says. "Yeah, we're in this together," Valery says. Arthur has one leg propped up with his forearm resting on it, and his other hand in a ball resting on his side, "Honestly, I think we're gonna be dead way before that. And you know what? I don't mind. It's an honorable end. But we gotta shut Steppenwolf down. Superman's a no-show. You've got no powers. No offense. This guy might be working for the enemy. We don't know. You're tripping over your feet, and mine. Oof. You're gorgeous. And fierce, and strong, and...Mmm. I know we went to war with the Amazons, but that was before my time." Arthur says, chuckling then looks at Valery before continuing. "You, you're completely gorgeous and strong. And mmh. Everything a man wants in a woman you've got. The things I could do to you. [Looks around at everyone] And you know what? I don't wanna die. I'm young. There's shit that I wanna do. I just feel like I didn't really embrace the Sea or the Land. I've been a loner my whole life. But being part of something bigger, like this...Maybe I'm scared because I'm meant to--" Arthur, at Bruce's gesturing, reaches down and pulls out the Lasso of Truth. Everyone tries to hold back a smile. With a steely gaze, he tosses it back to Diana, who catches it effortlessly. "I think that was beautiful," Diana says, smiling. Arthur gets up begins to walk away, but stop and looks at Barry. "You say a word about this and you'll meet every piranha I know," Arthur says to Barry before walking away. "I honestly didn't hear anything after, "We're all gonna die." Barry says causing Diana and Valery to smile.
