Chapter 22

Kamiko pov

Walking back to my apartment I was thinking about this contest that will be held in a few days in the land of waves. I was excited to see Tazuna and Tsunami and Inari.

Once I got to my apartment i cooked dinner and headed to bed. When I woke up I got dressed and headed to the gate so we can head out to the land of waves. Being the first one there was starting to get annoying. I was standing there for a good 20 minutes until I saw Ryuu with his group. They graduated before my class. They are 2 years older then me.  Ryuu turned and looked in my direction and started to walk towards me. 'Shit not this again.'

"Well well well if it isn't kamiko the monster. You are going to be in that contest in the land of waves too?" He asked me while grabbing my hair.

"Y-yes I will be!"

"You don't stand a chance. You are so weak and pathetic." He then punched me in my gut making me bend down and start to cough up blood. He then hit the back of my back with his elbow. I fell on to the ground and I clutched my aching stomach.

"My team will crush your team. You have that other monster on the team too!" He then started to kick me in the face. 'Who is he talking about? No one is a monster. I am not a monster!'

He stares to laugh. 'I am getting sick of getting beat up and treated like a monster when I am not a monster at all!' Getting up i grabbed his shirt from his collar and lifted him off of the ground. "You know what I am getting pretty sick of you treating me like shit when I haven't done anything to you!"  I yelled at all of them. They all surrounded me now and had kunai in their hands. They look like they are ready for a fight.

"Put him down!" One of his groups yelled at me. Glaring at him I threw Ryuu up into the air like a rage doll and when he was about to hit the ground I kicked him in the gut and sent him flying into the building. All of the groups charged at me with kunia in hand. They started to throw punches at me.

Dodging  most of them. I got cut a couple of times from the kunai. But I was handling the situation pretty well. It was like 7 to 1 so that is pretty good if you say so. 'I want to end this already.' Thinking to myself. 

One punch that was coming for my head I slide to the left grabbed it and he had a look a shock on his face. I then spun him around and around. He knocked into everyone of the people who was shrouded me. They where all knocked back and looked shocked.

"Don't mess with me again!" Screaming at them. They all got off the ground and ran away.  'That's what you get if you mess with me from now on!'

I was all cut up and bruised again. 'Great now I have to cover them up again.' I covered myself up and waited for the rest of my team to show up.

Waiting for like 2 hours they finally showed up and Kakashi was with them. 'They are all turning into small versions of him.'

"What took you guys so long?"

"We got lost on the path of life." They all said. Dropping down on the ground and started to laugh so hard that I had to clutch my already hurting stomach to stop it from hurting any more from laughing.

"That was priceless!" Saying it in between laughs. They all just looked at my like I was crazy.

"Umm Kamiko what happened to you?" Naruto asked.

Quickly getting up I looked in the mirror that I had packed and saw I had a large bruise forming on my cheek. "Shit!" I screamed.

"Nothing happened." Saying it rather quickly. Kakashi gave me this look as if we will talk on the road and I just nodded at him and changed the subject by saying "who is ready to go to the land of waves?"

"I am believe it! I can't wait to see Inari again." Naruto shouted.

I giggled and petted his head. "Same here kiddo." I smiled at him.

"Hm" was all saskue said.

"I can't wait to see how the new bridge helped the land of waves." Sakura said.

'I wonder if I will run into him again?' Thinking to myself. 'Probably not. He is traveling with his master and stuff so I won't see him.'

"Let's get going now guys." Kakashi said in his same old voice. He reached for his book and started to walk out the gates. Following him I walked out of the gate. We walked for about 4 hours until Kakashi stopped walking. The sun was starting to set in the horizon.

"Let's start getting ready for camp. But I won't be doing anything. You all have to work together on this. I am here just to supervise and lead the way. Just act like I am not even here." He said then he left us and started to walk ahead of us.

"Where are you going? Sakura asked.

"I am going to the land of waves. Oh and here is a map. I leave the rest up to you guys. Try not to get killed or kill each other. My job is done and that was to get you to the first part of the contest. The rest of it is up to you guys. You have to work together to get there and survive outside in the woods until you get there."

"Oh great!" Is all I said. 'But that is a great thing to work on our team work. Only if we can get along then we can pass this round and move on to the next round. The hokage is a smart man.'

"Ok bye Kakashi!" Everyone said and waved him off.

"Let's start with setting up a fire and a tent." Saskue said.

"I with you on that. Who will get the fire wood and who will help set up the tents?" I asked everyone.

"I will help get the fire wood" Sakura and Sasuke said.

"On that leaves me and naruto to make the tents. Let's go team."

Sakura and sasuke walked into the woods leaving me and naruto alone.

"Let's get the tents out." 

"Ok believe it! I can do this all by myself!" He shouted.

"The whole thing is about team work bird for brain!"

He just rubbed the back of his neck and frowned. "But I want to do it on my own but if I can't I will work with you." He said and then he smiled and took out the tents.

"Let's look at the instructions before we start." I looked over the instructions and it looked easy to make.  By the time we finished putting the tents together it was almost dark outside. 'Where are Sakura and Saskue?'

Just as soon as I thought that I heard a noise coming from the bushes. Getting out a kunai and getting into a fighting stand. Sakura and saskue come out of the bush with lots of fire wood.

"Geez you guys had me scared to death!" Shouting at them.

"Sorry we kinda got lost but we found our way back with luck." Sakura said.

"What she said." Sasuke said.

"Ok well let's get the fire started and let's make some dinner." Telling them.

"Who made you leader of us?" Sakura said to me getting in my face.

"No one did but who else is going to keep everyone from going crazy? I know you can't handle it when naruto and sasuke fight and you aren't every good at giving directions and making plans out. Only me and sasuke are and sasuke doesn't talk or in better words hates to talk because he is too much of an emo to talk." Saying that in one breath.

"She has a good point Sakura." Naruto said.

"For once I agree with Naruto on this. She is more qualified for being the leader then you." Sasuke said. Looking at him with a look of total shock.

"T-thanks Sasuke." 

After we debated on wether I should be the leader of the group until we get to the land of waves we made the fire and ate roman.

"Let's go to sleep guys. Who is going to take first watch of the night?" Sasuke asked.

"I will take first watch of the night." Sakura said.

"Ok I will watch next and then Naruto and then Sasuke." Telling them. We all went into our tents. One girl tent and one boy tent.
