Chapter 24

A/n: don't own any of the characters from Naruto only the ones I make up.

Sasuke pov

"Ok good Naruto go with Sakura and find some Barrie's. While me and Sasuke go out and hunt for some food." And with that we all scattered and went our own ways.

Walking with Kamiko  in the forest was annoying because she wouldn't talk. 'I am so bored!'

"Sasuke we should set up a trap so we can catch a bunny." She told me.

"Go on ahead and do that while I do my own thing." I said with an attitude.

"Fine I will catch my own food and you can catch your own food since you obviously don't know that we are all equals on this team. Why do you think you are so much better than everyone else?" Screaming at me. 'Did she finally crack under all of the peruse. "I have had it with you and your attitude all the time!"

"It's none of your business as to why I am better. I have someone who I want to kill so I have to be better than everyone else. And I have to get stronger on my own." I told her while turning around to leave. I stopped when she started to rant again.

"You and naruto are almost the same. He wants to be Hokage so he wants to get stronger by himself but he can't get stronger by himself he needs people to help him get stronger and you are no different then him. You are no different than anyone on this team. Everyone is trying to get stronger." She said to me.

She is right but I am too cool to admit it. I walked away to catch my own food for the group. I found a bunny and threw a kunai at it and it hit it in its leg. It trying to get away but since it was crippled it couldn't get very far very fast. I then went in searching for a stream so I can go fishing. Making a makeshift fishing pole and found some worms I went fishing.

Catching about 6 fish and catching 4 bunnies I decided to head back to the other because I was satisfied with all I had caught.

Kamiko pov

After Sasuke left I made about 6 traps out of sticks and vines. It was easy servivel skills that I had picked up on when I was younger from my mom when she made me servive on my own when I was 4 years old.

Flash back

"Kamiko  I am going to train you but first you have to pass a test that I set up for you." My mom told me while I was sitting on her lap. She has long hair that was pulled back into one braid. And she was wearing her normal ninja outfit. She was only home because she wasn't on a mission that day.

"What am I going to do?" I asked her while looking up at her.

"I am taking you to the forest and you will have to be there for 5 days and 5 nights and you won't have any supplies." She said while standing up and still holding me.

"When will I do this test?"

"I can't tell you that."

"Ok mommy. I can't wait!" Smiling happily up to my mom. She set me down and went to cook dinner. After we ate dinner I went to get ready for bed. Falling asleep on my comfy bed.

When I woke up the next morning I woke up in the dark forest. I shot right up and relized that I was in some cloths that I wouldn't normally wear. It was dark blue shorts with some chain tights on both legs and a black tank-top on with a chain shirt underneath of it. I had a kunai pouch and my hair was in a ponytail.

"So I guess it starts now." Talking to myself. I went back to sleep and when I woke up in the morning I went to search the area to see what is in the area. Walking for what seemed about 3 hours I heard my stomach growling.

"Guess I am kind of hungry." Talking to myself since I had no one to talk to. I was trying to make a snare to catch a rabbit and I also tried to make a fishing pole.

I waited for about 20 minutes until I saw a bunny heading for my trap. It got caught in the snare and I then snapped its poor little neck. Making a fire and cooking the poor bunny that I caught.  That is all I did for the rest of the day.

The next day I woke up bright and early and set out to explore some more. I decided that since I will be out in the forest for a long time that I should make a shelter for sleep in and keep myself warm and safe from the outside elements.

I found a good group of trees near the steam that I was fishing at. Cutting some branches down and getting some vines to hold the branches up on the tree so I have a nice little cover from the rain. Now I had to make walls with some more branches. After I was done making my house it was already dark so I went without eating.

I made a route everyday which was to explore for half of the morning and then go and fish and catch bunnies and deer to eat. Then after I was done cooking it I would store them in a little hole I made in one of the trees in my kettle house. I had enough food stored to live out in the woods for at least 3 months and not have to hunt and gather Barrie's.

On the last day my mom came and saw me in my little house. "Mommy look at what I can do!" Smiling brightly at her. Showing her all of the things I can do she just smiled and said that she was proud of me.

"Hey mom can I live out here forever?"

She giggled and said "if u want to but I will miss you and I think you will miss me too. But you can make it your little get away and I will let you go there as many times as you want for as long as you won't." So with that said we returned home and I ate my moms great cooking.

End of flash back 

After catching 2 deers and 5 bunnies and 7 fish I decided to head back to the others. When I got there Sasuke was there and he caught quit a few fish and bunnies. "Welcome back Kamiko. Look at what me and Sakura got." He showed me the different Barrie's that he had picked.

"Good job Naruto and Sakura. We have enough food to not have to look again for a week but it won't take us a week to get to the land of waves."

I was proud of them. After we ate we headed off again with Sasuke in the lead.

After about 3 more days of traveling we finally got to the land of waves. We saw kakashi there along with the other leaders.

"I am glad you all made it here safe and sound." Kakashi told us once he reached us.

"Can we go to the house now?" Naruto asked him while bouncing up and down.

"Sure thing." And then he started to walk.  The village has more buildings then before and it has a lot more people in it. There are more shops then before and it seems to be thriving.
