Chapter 25

Kamiko pov

Once we got to the house I saw tazuna and he smiled at us. "I am glad to have you guys apart of my family for the next couple of days."

"Thank you for having us." We all said to him and bowing.

"It's fine. No need to be so formal." He chuckled. We all laughed and went inside the house. It still looks the same as it did before. Tsunami saw us and gave us a big old hug.

"Welcome back you guys." She smiled at us.

"I am so glad we are back." We all said.

"Where is Inari?" I asked them both.

"Oh he is at school and will be back any minute now." Just then he bursts through the door and ran up to me and gave me a hug.

"I am so happy that you guys are back!" He smiled and hugged me.

"Dinner is almost ready." Tsunami told us.

We all went and ate dinner and then we fell asleep because the contest started tomorrow.

The smell of bacon woke me up bright and early in the morning. Going down the stairs I found tsunami cooking breakfast and decided to help her out. "Morning tsunami."

She turned around. "Oh good morning I forgot you were an early riser."

"Yeah. It's fine. So can I help?"

"Sure you can. You can chop the ham." Getting a knife and started to cut the ham into cubes.

"So how's your training coming along?" She asked me while flipping pancakes.

"Training is good and we are becoming a better team now."

"That's good to hear."

"Yep. I will wake up everyone up now." I walked up the stairs and walked into Sakura's room and shook her. "Morning Sakura."

"Oh morning Kamiko."

"Wake up the other and tell them that breakfast is ready."

She nodded and got up to wake everyone else up. I handled Kakashi. Walking into his room I started to yell in his ear. "KAKASHI WAKE UP!"

He jumped up and he looked like he had peed his pants. I started to laugh. "Kamiko don't do that again! You scared the shit out of me."

"I can tell!" I said in between my laughter. Wiping away an imaginary tear from my eye.

"Oh yeah we still need to talk about what happened earlier before we left."

"Oh it was just some kid who beats me up. It's nothing that I can't handle." Faking a smile.

"How long have they been bullying you for?"

"Ever since I was 10. I finally stood up to them that day so I don't have to worry about them anymore."

"Ok if you say so." He said while getting up.  "Let's eat some breakfast now."

Getting up and running down the stairs. Seeing Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Inari at the table was a nice sight.

"Let's eat!" I told them as I sat down. After we ate breakfast it was time for the 2nd part of the contest. We have no clue what the contest is yet.

We walked to the heart of the town where I saw the old man. We sat down on a chair and listened to the hokage.

"Ok first part of the test was to get to the land of waves without your sensi's. Now it's time for the next part. It's a relay race that your team has to preform together. It's a simple running challenge. Pick your starter and you have to pass the baton to the next team mat and it continues until the last person who has to get to the finish line. When you finish we will add a score on how well you worked together."

Once he was done talking we got together to think of a plan to win. "Who is going first?" Sakura asked.

"I think Naruto, then Sakura, then myself, and lastly Kamiko." Sasuke said.

"Good plan." I told him. We go into our position and waited for the horn to go off. When it went off Naruto took off fast.  Then it was Sakura's turn and then it was now Sasuke's turn. He ran as fast as he could.

We were in the lead by a couple of seconds. When Sasuke reached me I took the baton and started to run. When I was about to finish I got tripped by Ryuu.

"Bitch!" Screaming at him. Getting up from the ground I started to actually run to catch up with him since he is in the lead. I swiftly pasted him and won the race.  "Yes we won!" Shouting to the world.

Everyone except for Sasuke came up and gave me a big hug. "Thanks you guys. If that Ryuu didn't trip me back there I probably would have won sooner."

"Team 7 has won the race." Lord Hokage said over a microphone. Claps and cheer erupted from the crowd and I felt happy for the first time in my life. Kakashi was just over on the sidelines watching this play out. He was smiling but it was hard to tell with that mask of his.

"The next thing is a little fighting contest. The people who did not come in top 3 has to sit down and watch the next and final contest play out." Hokage said.

"How will the matches be matched up?" Someone in the audience asked.

"Well the contestants will write their name down on a pieces of paper and I will put them in a hat then randomly pick names."

We all were handed a slip of paper that we had to write our names down on. Once we were done a jonin came around with a back hat that looked like a baseball cap. Once he went on his way to the hokage who then picked out the names.

"The first match will be with Sakura against hinata. The second match will be Naruto against shikamaru. The third match will be with Saskue against kiba. The forth match will be Kamiko against Ryuu." Lord hokage said. After my name was called I didn't bother to listen at all. I got my chance to fight Ryuu and I will crush him.

"Ha kamiko doesn't stand a chance against Ryuu." I heard someone in the crowd say.

"JUST WATCH ME!" I yelled at them. The audience went dead silent after I had said that. Smirking to myself because I got them to shut up.
