~ E L E A N O R ~
Morning rolled around and it was very cold and the skies were a dark gray. The king of weather that just makes you want to stay in bed instead of a freezing airport. Harry had arrived with the car on time, and he loaded our bags in the back. I watched from our bedroom window as Harry loaded our luggage in the back. Eventually Louis came into the picture and even helped him put a few bags in, making conversation while doing so.
I wondered what they spoke about. What they thought of each other. I wondered how Harry felt, I could only imagine. I didn't want to see him. I wanted to stay in bed and cry.
"Eleanor! Ready when you are!" I heard Louis shout from downstairs.
I sighed and made my way downstairs. I wasn't exactly speaking to Louis either. He came home very late last night and he slept in the guest bedroom again. Since Danielle's been calling his phone I could only assume he was with her. I don't why that bugged my but it did.
So I put on a brace face and stood tall as I walked past Louis and Harry in the foyer. I kept my eyes ahead and held my head up as I walked past them, I could feel both of their eyes on me. It made my insides feel like butterflies.
"Guess she's ready." Louis said and they followed me.
I didn't wait for Louis to open the car door for me, I opened it and closed it after myself. Louis got in from the other side, Harry closed the trunk of the car and drove us to the airport. Louis was on his phone reading emails, and messages from people he worked with. Probably Danielle too. And from the corner of my eye I could see Harry constantly trying to make eye contact with me through the rear view mirror but I wouldn't let my eyes meet his.
When we got to the airport, Harry was granted access to bring the car right next to the private jet we were taking off in. Harry opened my car door for me, and I thanked him under my breath but not looking at him.
"You go on ahead, I need to make a call." Louis said, gesturing for me to get on the jet.
I rolled my eyes at him, he was probably going to call her. Louis saw that and held me back by my arm, but not like the other day. He was gentle this time.
"What the hell is wrong with you Eleanor? Are you still mad at me? Or something else? Because I don't know what to do with you and this attitude of yours. Quite frankly I don't even know if I want you to go on this trip with me if you're going to be like this? Do you even want to go anymore? I can have Harry drive you home right now if you want, but you need to tell me because this is still a business trip for me and I need to focus and I can't do that if I'm dealing with you." He snapped.
". . .where did you go last night?" I asked him and I could tell that was not the response he was expecting.
"What are you? My mum now?" He asked.
We were interrupted by Harry. "Excuse me, sir. The bags are all aboard."
"Thank you, Harry." Louis said and looked back to me.
"Let's go." I said, and turned around going up the steps that led onto the aircraft. I could hear Louis sigh. Harry followed me, leaving Harry and I alone in the jet while Louis made that call.
"Are you okay?" Harry asked me in a whisper so none of the flight attendants or the pilot would hear.
"I thought you were gonna be invisible to me now." I spat. I could tell Harry was about to respond but Louis came aboard.
Harry stepped away from me, and Louis looked to Harry before taking the seat next to me. Harry took a seat next to a flight attendant near the back. I sighed and looked out the window the whole time.
I took a nap on the flight, while Louis worked like he always did and Harry seemed to be looking out the window the whole time amazed by all the clouds around him and how small the world looked. Then I remembered he had never been on a plane or a private jet. He was probably terrified and amazed at the same time. He was probably ecstatic to be leaving London for the first time.
We finally arrived, and paparazzi were waiting outside of the jet. I covered my face and Louis had his hand on my back leading me. Harry led the way for the both of us blocking the paparazzi and politely telling them to back up. Harry made sure we were in the car before he drove us to the hotel we were all to be staying at.
It was hot here, and almost humid. I was dying in my London clothes, but the views were so beautiful. The people looked so lively, the city very vibrant and full of colors, the scent of the beach in the air, and the sky such a bright blue. Miami looked like it was going to be fun.
"Alright, here's the plan. I have a meeting in an hour so I'm going to go to the office to set up. We have a driver hired over here as well so he'll take me there. You can go sight seeing, go to the beach, or whatever you want to do with Harry with you as well. There's another car for you to use, and you have my credit card so. . .just be careful." Louis told me.
My eyes widened, and I couldn't help but smile. Louis saw that and it seemed like he almost smiled as well. I was excited to explore Miami. The only thing that made me feel weird was being alone with Harry, especially since how awkward things were with us.
When we arrived at the hotel Louis didn't even get out of the car. But he grabbed my hand before I could leave and I looked at him.
"Eleanor, this is a very big city and there's a lot of bad people here. I need you to stay with Harry, please be careful and please be aware. You can be mad at me all you want but I'm still responsible for you." He said, his voice sounding genuine.
But remember Danielle.
"It's going to be a very long day for me, but I will try to meet you for dinner okay?"
"Okay."
"Okay."
He let go of my hand. Harry and I watched as his car drove off. The bellhop of the hotel had my bags in the cart and we followed them to our room. Harry behind me and silent the whole way. I thanked the man for bringing my bags up and tipped him before he left. The suite was gorgeous, and the balcony had the most gorgeous view of the beach. The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub that looked like it could fit five people, and the marble floors shined, along with everything else in the room.
Then I remembered Harry who stood on the balcony enjoying the view. I joined him.
"Gorgeous isn't?" I asked him, trying to lighten the mood.
"Very different than London." He said, his face serious along with his tone. I frowned and sighed.
"Look I'm sorry for everything that happened but if we're going to be spending all this time together shouldn't we be okay with each other?" I asked.
"I suppose."
"Where are you staying?" I asked him.
"Louis got me a regular room down the hall." He told me, and grabbed his bag that he held the whole way up. I began to feel bad.
"Oh. . .well I supposed I should let you unpack and settle in." I said.
"I can just drop my stuff off. What do you want to do today?" He asked me.
"Well this is your first time out of London, is there anything you want to do?" I asked him.
"This is totally up to you." He said.
"No, you."
"You."
"You."
"No, you!"
"You!" I said with a laugh and he joined me. "Come on, I'm incredibly indecisive."
"I'm king of hungry." He said.
"Me too! I'm starving! What should we eat?!" I asked him as we began to leave the room.
"Oh God, you're going to make me pick that too?" He asked me and I giggled as we left my room ready to take on Miami with Harry.
