"Where did you run off to last night?" I asked as we sat in the back of an SUV on the way to one of Louis's business meetings.
"I told you I went with a friend. Didn't realize how late it had gotten." Louis said and yawned.
I don't know why it bothered me a little that he was out so late and wouldn't say where. Like he's hiding something. I'm not even his real wife so it shouldn't bother me but it did a little.
I let it go, and followed him inside a tall skyscraper.
Paparazzi were waiting outside the building, but Louis blocked them for me and held my hand as he led me inside. Louis greeted men and introduced me. I politely said hello and shook all of their hands. They all began to file into a conference room but Louis stopped when we got to the door."You don't have to come in and listen. Meetings are pretty boring." He said. I gave him a confused look.
"Then why did I have to come?" I asked annoyed because he woke me up pretty early to come, and I was having a good dream.
"Because it looks really good that my wife comes with me to things like this related to work. It makes you look like a supportive wife." He said, and I rolled my eyes.
"So what am I supposed to do?" I asked him.
"You can come in and listen if you want but it's very boring. This is my company so you have access to anywhere in the building. Do whatever you want. Explore. Just please stay inside the building, I don't want guys trying to hurt you or paparazzi harassing you." He said.
"Fine." I whined. He nodded his head and closed the door behind him as he walked into the conference room.
I stood in a hallway unsure of what to do or where to go. He didn't even say how long it'd be.
"Hey."
I quickly turned around to the voice of Harry. My eyebrow rose in confusion and I looked around to make sure we were alone before we spoke.
"Hi...um, what are you doing here?" I asked him. He walked towards me till there was a little space between us.
"I had to get up early for a training course. I just finished." He informed me and I nodded my head.
"So you're really doing this huh?" I asked him.
"If it means I get to be close to you then yes." He said with a small smile.
And I wanted to smile because it gave me butterflies but I sighed and shook my head. "But it's not right Harry.."
"Hey, just say the word and I'm gone forever." He reminded me but I still couldn't bring myself to say the words. He smiled satisfied with that.
"I'm hungry, you want to accompany me to get food?" He asked me.
I wanted to, but I remembered Louis said not to leave the building. "Louis wants me to stay inside.."
"Why?"
"Incase something happens to me again and paparazzi." I said with a sad sigh because I was hungry, and I wanted to spend time with Harry.
"Well nothings going to happen to you because I'll be with you, technically it's my job as your bodyguard." Harry suggested.
That was true...
I looked back to the closed doors of the conference room where Louis was. Harry's right, he'll protect me if anything happens. And it's not like Louis and I are really married so..
"Okay."
"Okay?"
I smiled and nodded my head. "Yeah, lets go."
