~ E L E A N O R ~

The theme music died down, and everyone slowly stopped clapping and sat back in their seats for the show to begin.

"Wow!! What an entrance you two can make!" The show host, Diamond, smiled.

I had to take an extra moment to stare at her. Her smile was so wide it looked so fake and her eyes were open so big it was like they'd pop out any second. Her enthusiasm seemed fake.

"Oh thank you, you're too kind." Louis said with a chuckle.

I realized I might've been staring too long, so I quickly looked away and smiled to Louis to which he returned with his own.

"I think I speak for all of London when I say I was absolutely SHOCKED to hear about your engagement!!! Right?!" She asked the crowd, and the crowd cheered and clapped in agreement.

"I mean it came out of nowhere! We didn't even know you were dating!!! How did that all come together if you don't mind me asking." Diamond began the interview, her facial features turning more normal and serious now.

Louis gave me a reassuring look, and smiled to Diamond and then faced the crowd.

"If the world didn't know we were engaged, let alone dating then that means we succeeded at our main goal. Eleanor and I are very alike in the sense that we both like our privacy, and we wanted to be able to love each other without opinions of the world beating us down." Louis said very casually and nodded his head.

I had to applaud Louis in my head. He seemed so calm and casual, like this was his scene. He was doing much better than I was for sure.

"You did have quite the reputation though, didn't you." Diamond said with a loud fake laugh, and the crowd laughed with her.

I decided I had been too quite.

"Please, you're telling me! Could you imagine if this party boy walked up to you asking you out on a date?! It took at least three tries for me to say yes!" I said, shocking myself with how well I carried that lie.

This sent Diamond and the crowd into a hysterical laughter and they even clapped. I smiled and somewhere in between Louis took my hand and gave me what seemed to be a proud smile. Maybe I could do this after all.

"I am a persistent man, when I see something I want, I'll do whatever I can to have it. And now look, I have this beautiful darling as my wife now and I wouldn't change a thing." Louis added onto my part.

Diamond cooed. "That really is so sweet. Now Eleanor, you seemed to keep a low profile while your husband here was repeatedly seen in tabloids partying and with a specific actress." Diamond said, finally introducing the real reason why we were here.

"Ah yes, the ex that won't go away." I said jokingly, making Diamond and the crowd laugh.

"It appears that way doesn't it!! Louis, you and Danielle seemed to be off and on for a while yes?" Diamond asked Louis.

"Yes we were." Louis answered.

"However, you're sitting here today with a new woman as your bride and you two seem happy yet your name is still appearing in headlines with Danielle's. Why?" Diamond asked.

Louis looked to me and sighed before looking back to Diamond.

"You want the truth Diamond, I'll give you the complete truth." Louis began, and I started to get nervous again wondering what lie he was going to come up with on the spot.

"I was young, I was reckless. I still am young, but at the same I feel more mature. At the time, I didn't have much care for the world, and I was only thinking about what I was going to do that night. My mind was nowhere near tomorrow, let alone my future. Which is probably why Danielle and I didn't end up together really. We were both very careless. Which in the moment is fun and exciting, but at some point you just want to grow up." Louis started off.
