We got halfway through the day and now we are at PE. I hate this class because the coach is sexist. If a boy coughs he lets them go get water. If a girl coughs he yells at them for interrupting his class then makes them run a mile.
Today was an easy day though. Just a small work out then a small game of dodgeball. For the work out we had to do a 50 meter jog, 20 push ups, 20 sit ups, and 10 lunges each side, then another 50 meter run. I was one of the first ones done because I like to hurry to prove myself to others and myself.
Alexis likes to take her time because she doesn't like to hurry when we play a game after. Our coach said that first and second person done are team captains and she doesn't like to be team captain.
Once everyone was done he had me and Owen come to the front of the class. Owen is the other team captain. I hate Owen. He thinks he is better than everyone.
"Ok class. We are playing dodgeball. Elizabeth you pick first since you were first to finish. You have to pick someone of the opposite gender than you, then next round to pick you pick someone same gender as you then so on and so forth." Coach said. I was kinda scared because when I looked at Owen he had a devilish smirk.
"Umm. Cody." I really wished I hadn't picked him and picked one of Owen's friends after what he did to me.
"Alexis." He called out. I glanced at him then at Alexis. She was mad too.
"Claire."
"Mark."
"Robby."
"Jordan."
"Krissy."
"Stephen."
And so on until the whole class had been picked. I was mad because I wasn't on Alexis's team but I couldn't do anything about it. I hated Owen even more now. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. Or can I?
Alexis and I learned sign language so we could talk during class without actually talking. I started signing to her telling her my plan. We both do nothing to protect ourselves if a ball is coming so we are both out together and then go to the showers to clean up for lunch early. She understood clearly so we were both on the same page.
As soon as the coach blew his whistle, everyone ran to get a ball. I was one of the first people to get one because I was fast, but so was Owen. He got to it first, then he threw it at me. I was hit then was out. I sat on the bleachers and waited for Alexis. It didn't take long, only 5 minutes. When we were both out we walked over to the coach and asked to hit the showers.
"Give me 10 squats then you can go." He told us. We sighed but did as told. When we finished we went to the girls locker room, got our clothes, then showered.
We both got out around the same time and dried our hair. We walked out and there was Owen standing there with a smirk on his face.
"Good game Elizabeth. Oh wait, you didn't really play because you were the first one out." I could feel my face turn red with embarrassment.
"Don't listen to him Liz. He's an idiot." Alexis whispered in my ear.
We walked past him and headed for the cafeteria. When I walked in I saw Eliot with a bunch of girls around him. I rolled my eyes and went to buy my food. I don't really like the food so I buy the meal that comes with fruit, give the meal to my brother and just eat the fruit.
I walked over to Eliot and gave him the food. Him and his friends were surrounded by girls because apparently the girls think they're cute and popular. When I gave the food to him he didn't even acknowledge me. I walked away a little upset because of that but I hid it well. I learned to do that because that's what happens to me a lot of the time. I'm left in the dust by everyone except Alexis.
I finished eating then headed to my locker to get my books for my next class which is math.
I was so ready for the day to be over and I can do tryouts. Just a few more hours then me and Alexis will be doing what we love. Playing softball.
