We sat there for a while. Me sobbing while Nathan was holding me tight. It felt really nice having my best friend back in my life.
After about ten minutes of this he let go of me and started to sit up and gave me his hand to help me up.
"Let's go. We aren't going to cry anymore." He said with a sad, sympathetic smile.
"Where are we going?" I asked
"You'll see." Ugh. I hate surprises.
After a 15 minute walk we were outside the ice cream place we used to always go to as kids.
"What flavor do you want?" Nathan asked.
"My usual." I answered, testing to see if he remembers my usual.
"Mint chocolate chip with gummy bears it is." He replied. How did he remember? It's been forever. We ordered our ice cream. He got the same as me. I was about to really for my wallet when he said, "It's on me. Put your wallet back."
"Thanks."
"Anytime."
After we finished our ice cream we walked back to my house so my family can see Nathan again. Nathan was like Eliot's little brother he never had so Nathan wanted to see him, so we started the 20 minute walk to my house.
We caught each other up on everything while walking home but when we got there I saw Tyler sitting there crying. When he saw us walk up he immediately stood up and tried to walk over to me but I ignored him and walked straight to the door. After I opened it and let Nathan in I was about to walk in when Tyler grabbed my wrist and turned me to face him.
"LET GO OF ME!!" I yelled in his face. That got the attention of my family and they came running out with Nathan coming back out.
"No. Let me explain!" He said back. I tried to pull my wrist away but he only tightened his grip causing my to yelp in pain.
"LET GO OF HER!!" Eliot yelled pushing Tyler causing him to let go of my wrist.
"I do not want your sorry excuses Tyler! Now leave." I retorted.
"Please." He said barely above a whisper with pleading eyes.
Justin, Eliot and Nathan all got in between Tyler and i while my dad got in front of them to keep them from fighting and my mom hugged me. I started sobbing and couldn't help it. It was also still freezing and I didn't have a jacket from when I ran to the park and saw Nathan.
"What's going on here?" My dad asked looking at Tyler but really asking me and Nathan as well.
"I saw Liz at the park and we hung out for a while then went to see Alexis but when we went into her room we saw her and this jerk kissing." Nathan said with rage evident in his eyes.
"Get off of my property." My dad said, looking like he was on the verge of punching Tyler.
"But sir. Please let me expl-" Tyler started but Justin cut him off.
"I think you've done quite enough. Now you heard my dad. Leave." Justin also looked like he wanted to punch Tyler. Actually, they all did, even mom.
"Come on sweetie. Let's let them take care of him. Let's get you inside you're freezing." My mom said. Just as she said that I started sneezing over and over. I couldn't stop. Everyone's attention turned to me, looking worried. My mom felt my forehead and gasped. "Honey start the car. Eliot get her some warmer clothes and help her up to her room to get changed." After she said that Eliot helped me to my room as I started to have a coughing attack. I heard my mom continue, "Justin take Nathan home then come back here and stay with your brother."
I stopped and turned around half way up the stairs as Eliot tried to keep me walking.
"Thanks for coming back Nathan." I said gasping for air from coughing.
"Of course. Now go. I don't need my best friend sick for long." He said smiling but I could tell he was really worried.
I have no idea why I was gasping for air. I was normally fine when I was sick. But I guess we'll find out what's wrong at the hospital.
