"All these names are weird Ma," I sighed as I leaned back on my chair, my shirt going up a bit, exposing my belly button, I pulled it down as I took a bite of my banana, "You don't like any of them?" My mom asked as she drank a few sips from her coffee, "No, they're all basic names, like Jack, Kyle, Jason, James, I don't see any unique names," I said as I closed the book. "You'll find something," She promised me.

"I'm scared," I said as Mattia rubbed my belly softly, "Why?" He asked as he looked up from his phone, "The baby hasn't kicked yet, what if he's dead," I said as Mattia ran his fingers over my stretch marks, "He's not babe, he's fine, probably just ignoring me, and it's still a bit early," He said, but I didn't believe even a little bit of what he said. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," I said as I looked down at my phone.
"I think, I might, but emphasis on the might, film a TikTok today," I told Mattia as I put a hand under my head, "What TikTok?" He asked, and I shrugged a bit, "Just an easy dance I guess, just so they can see the baby bump since they haven't seen it in a while, and since before my belly wasn't as big, see, it's huge now." I told him.
"Okay babe, whatever you want." Mattia leaned his head down on my stomach. His ear at my belly button, I'm not sure what he was listening for but I guess it brought him some sort of comfort to do so.

I groaned quietly as I walked down the hall holding my lower back and leaning down on my knee, my whole body hurt just to walk, but I had to come to school today, well..actually my mom didn't force me to, she didn't even know I was coming in, but I just felt obligated to, I didn't want my teachers to get mad at me for missing my classes.
"Kai, c'mon, I'll find Roshaun and we'll drive you home," Ale said as he ran over to me and let me lean on him, "I'm fine, my legs are just sore is all it is," I told him, but still wrapped my arm around him to keep my balance steady.
"No, we're going home, let's go, when I find Mattia he'll agree with me then you'll be outnumbered, let's go now," Ale said and I shook my head before Mattia walked up to us, "What are you doing?" He asked us both as he put his phone down.
"Great, either you or Roshaun need to take Kai home," Ale told Mattia, "What why?" Mattia asked, "Because his whole body hurts to walk, I'll even go with you to drop him off if that helps, now you agree that he should go home right?" Ale asked as he looked back over at me.
"Yeah, you should Kai, you could hurt yourself," Mattia told me, but I shook my head, "I don't wanna," I told him as I looked down at my shoes, "You have to K-" Mattia was saying before I yelled, "I and the baby don't wanna!" I yelled at him, pushing Ale away from me and walking down the hall myself.

"After lunch, we're going home, I'm taking you and your gonna take a break from school, a long one, you can barely walk so maybe you can come back after the baby's born," Mattia said as he ate his orange, "I can't walk because this baby is heavy and he's weighing me down, he's huge, big dummy," I said as I looked down at my belly.
"Yeah, yeah whatever," Mattia ignored what I said as he ate his pizza. "If I have to go home......will you come with me? please? .....I don't wanna be alone." I told him as I played with the peaches that were cut up on my plate, "Hmm," Mattia gave me a smug look and sighed...before nodding. "Yes, I will," He told me with a nod.

"Any names yet?" Mattia asked as he passed me a cup of water, I took it and put it on my bedside table, shaking my head, "Nothing so far, everything's either too whitewash, or dumb names that don't sound like they could be his name," I said as I scrolled through all the names that I didn't like.
"Alexander?" Mattia asked as he looked down at his phone, I shook my head, "Nope," I replied. "Why not?" He asked as he looked over at me, "Doesn't feel like we're having an Alexander," I told him, rubbing my nose.
"Have you asked Maiya if she has any name ideas?" Mattia asked as he switched his phone off and scooted back so he was closer to me, "Not really, I thought she would just give ideas but nothing," I shrugged, "We'll find a name soon," Mattia said.
"We need to find a name now, I'm 6 almost 7 months and we still haven't decided any names at all, or even have any sort of ideas," I sighed, scratching the back of my head. "We'll figure it out, I promise," Mattia said, leaned over and kissing my cheek.

It had been a while, but I and Mattia finally figured out a name. I went down to the kitchen where my mom and Ms. Luca were. I had to ask my mom if we could have her over so we could tell them what name we decided. Mattia came down a few minutes later.
"Hi boys," Ms. Luca said, I smiled seeing that she and my mom were drinking coffee while Gianluca and Maiya sat in the living room watching some movie, "Guys, c'mon," Mattia told them, the paused the TV and came to the dining room. "What happened?" They asked as they stand down at the table.
"We finally came up with a name," I told them all, my mom smiled at me happily. "Well, what is it?" Ms. Luca asked as she folded her hands together. "Uh...so we like the name uh...Malachi Luca Polibio-Cosentino, because it's just very beautiful, a-and Malach means angel...and even though this baby is very mean and he's huge and makes it hard for me to walk, he's still an angel to us." I told them.
My mom and Ms. Luca smiled up at me, I could see tears in their eyes as we told them. "その美しい名前の赤ちゃん," (It's a beautiful name baby,) My mom told me as she stood up and kissed my forehead. "It is," I said shyly as I gave Ms. Luca a soft smile.
